hey guys just heard a probable 4 way trade involving Fortson, so looks like whatever hope some here on heBBS had of geting him is gone now. Boston, Dallas, Utah and GS are the teams involved. Boston gets Robert Pack + future #1 pick Dallas gets Howard Eisley Utah gets Donyell Marshall GS gets Fortson Man i think Dallas gets a steal with Eisley and Utah doesnt do bad either. The Jazz actually get a steal. DAMN! They lose Eisley, Padgett, and Keefe (from what I've heard) and pick up a decent player in Marshall. They lose two horrible players and one overrated one (Eisley) in exchange for an average player. Please, just kill me now. ------------------ Jazzkiller
Utah is getting a decent player in Donyell, but I still dont think they will pass the second round of the playoffs. Starks and Donyell to repalce Eisley and Horny is not bad, but how long can Stockton keep up. That b**** is not going to be able to give them over 30 min. Horny wont be there to make buzzer beaters and save em from 24 second shot clock violations. Hopefully Starks and Malone get into a fight. Did anyone notice that, dating all the way back to last season, posters have repeatedly brought up Fortson as a possible target for the Rockets? The repeated references to Fortson and how he would or would not fit in with Houston make this topic relevant in this forum ... ------------------

it's funny how some people are quick to jump on people for "posting in the wrong forum". they're the first ones to try to do an admin's job. but, it someone tries to criticize rudy t, that person is stoned and beaten for questioning authoritiy and "not trusting" rudy or carrol or whomever to do their job. the way i see it, if someone has an opinion, let them voice it. if you deem their opinion wrong, fine, state yours. but don't criticize their right to say it, or try to channel where they can say it. especially when you have nothing to say about the topic yourself. anyways, i don't see why everyone's so hyped up on fortson. problem #1: he can't shoot the j. no need to go to problem #2, because without the ability to shoot the j, he won't fit in on the rockets. ------------------ miles ahead of the rest [This message has been edited by verse (edited August 15, 2000).]

Ahh, I criticize no one, simply stated my case. It really doesn't pain me at all if we have an anal group of folks that like to police the BBS. I just think it's silly that people like to jump on others for a misplaced thread. Just my opinion, doesn't mean it's right. I will say this about Eisley and Vaughn: How do we know what Vaughn can do? He never played! Poor Jacque. Anyway, I don't think Eisley wanted to stay in Utah, did he? I find it hard to believe that Dallas wants him anyway, they are loaded with guards, and resigned Hubert Davis and Greg Buckner too. I thought Nash would be the staring PG, but I bet if Eisley ends up there, it will be a toss up. Strickland is gone and Pack will be, so that helps. ------------------ HOOP-T ------------------
