BTW, best shooter 'while being mugged' I've ever seen, as hard as this is to admit, is Allan Houston.

Best in your face shooter I've ever seen is Purvis Short. He was also good at fast break 3 pointers...I think he had over 50pts a couple times...59 points once...

Two streaky in your face shooters were World B. Free and Vinny "the Microwave" Johnson, but they were not as pure as Purvis

The best shooter I've ever seen period is Chris Jackson in college...it was scary...so scary he was the #3 pick in the NBA draft right after Gary Payton without having the NBA body.

The best shooter while having other game that I've ever seen is Larry Bird.

The best midrange shooter I can think of is Alex English

    My take:

    Best pure shooter: Larry Bird

Best shooter coming off screens: Reggie Miller

Best form: Ray Allen/Glen Rice/Chris Mullin

    Quickest release: Del Curry

Best mugged shooter: Allan Houston or Jeff Malone

    Best range: Rice

    Best streaky shooter: Vinnie Johnson

Best clutch shooter: Bird or Horry

    Best cold shooter: Curry

Best ugly shot maker: Jeff Hornacek

Quietest shooter (least amount of action in shot): Mullin or Curry

Best shooter if my life depended on it: Bird

I'm reading this thread thinking the same thing. Difference is, I'm dead serious.

Prettiest shot in the NBA: Allan Houston, hands down.

Ugliest shot in the NBA: Shawn Marion, hands down.

I was pseudo-serious, but don;t know that he'd make my top 50. Great shooter, though.

    Have you seen Bo Outlaw...er.."shoot"?

It amazes me that it even hits the rim. He heaves it from his chest like an 8 year old.

    ugly form runner ups:
    Adrian Dantley
    Alan Leavel
Fat Lever's back court mate...forget his name...Michael something

    Ugliest trajectory:
    Rodney McCray

    Funkiest spin:
    Kenny Smith

    Free Throws form:
    Bill Cartright
    Larry Smith

    Most annoying free throw routine:
    Adrian Dantley
    Derrick Chevious

    Ugliest overall:
    Shawn Marion

    ....
The best coming off screens I thought was Dale Ellis...didn't run around as well as Reggie, but had a better release and more effective with a hand in his face. Reggie is good at creating space with his quickness and change of direction.

Dantley's routine was sooo annoying, damn!

    Kidd's should be there too.

BTW, Rolando Blackman should be among the top 50 shooters.
