Using Durant as an excuse for Curry’s play is Not a good argument.

Harden is great on offense, we all know that. The problem starts higher up, with ownership and our GM. Our roster, focus on stars and going all on CP3 and Harden has backfired a bit. Harden masks the problem with our mediocre roster, CP3’s play to some degree, even saving coaches and making them look good. He’s part of one problem though that he nor anyone can longer deny: our style of play and lack of diversity. This includes pace, ball and body movement, shot selection, switching everything defense etc.

Why are you bringing up stats when that has never been the knock on harden? Not to mention comparing them to someone who is known primarily for their defense and still managed to be a top 3 leading scorer through the playoffs

I dun think it is that easy.

I think he is master of deceleration as articles have suggested a while ago.

His skill level is superb but he isn't the fastest player, he is a player that controls his personal pace very well.

The team needed him to accelerate at a high level and he can't do that in the playoffs.

I have no idea how we can play faster when we needed to, or pick up the pace when we needed to.....with the same personnel and the same coach.

I dun mind the slow pace when we have to resort to it but we need to mix it up. The same with the dreaded midrange game which is useful.

Does Kawhi dribble that much? He does not seem to be good at it.

I don’t think this board hates Harden. We lament a missed opportunity or opportunities.

Pairing Harden with a second star has been Morey’s downfall. Dwight didn’t exactly work out. CP3 gave us one year of fantastic play. He is in a state of decline. CP3 had so many open 3s in the playoffs that he couldn’t knock down. I actually think EG is the perfect third option.

I don’t see the path for contention unless Harden goes SuperNova.

He's getting criticized for putting up better numbers against gsw than the finals mvp. And the finals mvp was carrier in 2 for sure, maybe 3 4th quarter

Harden is the most talented player in the NBA hands down, he does carry the team every year with no complains but not body will remember regular season. It is the mental part of his game during playoffs that i question. I see him disinterested sometimes by walking or just standing in one spot, he doesn't like moving, i don't see him fired up.

Wins > stats...here they are anyways.
Kawhi was consistently great the whole playoffs. He didnt completely dominate the warriors though.

    Kawhi vs Warriors
    28/10/4
    43% FG
    35% 3P
    89% FT

    Harden vs Warriors
    35/7/5
    46% FG
    36% 3P
    82% FT

Raptors played a lesser Warriors team.
Kawhi disappeared at times. Kawhi had a ton of help.
Siakam. VanVleet. Lowry were FMVP candidates. Ibaka & Gasol played really well at times.

Stats without wins and championships is kind of meaningless

Malone and Barkley had great stats but no rings. Harden is heading down that path
