For some reason, there are 3 states holding primaries today — Florida, Illinois and Arizona.

Ohio was the only state with enough sense to postpone.

Thoughts about what happens? Turnout will obviously be low. Will the virus and low turnout skew the results?

I can't believe they went through with the primaries -- this is really good for Bernie if his young support rallys and gets out to vote he has a legit chance to win. A lot of Biden's supporters aren't going to risk going to vote.

Changing polling dates is dangerous, especially this early in the game (regarding the virus)... Granted Biden is winning by a wide margin.

This is the kind of stuff Trump will abuse.

Something to think about, and not just about the absurdity of having primaries so that your citizens can get this damned virus. Look for states like Texas to refuse to expand early voting. Early voting in Texas is limited and difficult for a lot of people. In some states, you can both register and early vote very close to the election. Not in Texas. It’s all about voter suppression by the Republican Party. Pure and simple. There is no evidence of fraud, which the usual people bring up as a “problem.” That’s a phony excuse.

I’ll be stunned if this isn’t a huge issue come November. Our ******* Governor and equally ******* Lt Governor could care less.

Not just Trump. Any politician will find temptation even if the reasons are legit, which is why previous admins would appear to go out of their way to not be associated with it.

Are measures for accountability in place? Are people prepared to uphold them even when inconvenient?

Those are the real questions rather than trusting/fearing the current President.

Changing the dates might not be as detrimental given the amount of people penned up in their homes waiting for an All Clear.

Since I am a registered republican and there were no other races in my district, I stayed away from the polls

Biden wins Florida by almost 40 points and well ahead in Illinois. We’ll see about Arizona.

Another great night for the Biden campaign.

Until everyone who voted gets sick.

They should abandon this primary now as a public health matter.

Bernie, concede. Local elections - primary by mail.

Bernie throwing a tantrum that these primaries are happening, but in reality he could end this by accepting that he's lost and putting this to bed. Concede and then let's end these charades and end the primary all together so politics can take a back seat for awhile.

He will be under a massive amount of pressure to quit this week.

He really really needs to. The DNC needs to step in, and when people cry foul/rigged, it's like **** off, we're in the worst catastrophe of our lifetime. Hell of Bernie's lifetime.

Oh trust me, I was completely against these primaries taking place today.

Voting requires people to essentially do the opposite of what the CDC is recommending: go into public spaces, wait in line, be in close proximity to others, touch potentially contaminated voting equipment, etc

Only one state had enough sense to put a stop to this unnecessary risk.
