At the hospital now waiting on my first child to be born.

I watched the whole game video this morning and here is an abbreviated version.

If all goes well today, June 22nd will definitely be my favorite date. It was definitely cool back in '94.

I was in the building. When Max's shot went in, it was elation. Unbelievable. Lady next to me started crying as the seconds ticked away. Such a huge burden off the back of Houston sports fans who had suffered through so many close misses.

Maxwell's shot is the most important shot in Rockets history and my favorite sports memory of all time. I always wanted to know if he said anything to Starks when he bumped into him after the 3 went in.

In the building as well. What I remember most was after the game was over, amidst all the bedlam on the court, Hakeem was sitting on the scorer's table just looking around the stands taking it all in. Great times!!!

Here's some reveling footage of the James Harden game 6 to compare to Clutch City Finals game 7.

No offense brother plow, you know I love you. But I'll take the best game of all time over the best shot of all time in Houston Rocket history.

I know it was in context, but still LOL

Ralph deserves all the praise we can give him, he's a Rockets legend that is rarely mentioned. in 1986, Ralph was my favorite player. We waxed the Forum floor with the showtime Lakers. But lets be frank, that particular shot was luck. You can't practice that like it's a viable part of basketball.

To me, Maxwell's shot was a culmination of team play throughout the series. Early in the series, our guards didn't get those shots. They couldn't shake Harper and Starks. Kenny, Sam, and Vernon worked all series long until they found ways to get open so Hakeem could pass out of the post. I don't think Riley changed his game plan in game 7. I think the Rockets figured out how to defeat it. It took quite a bit of effort to get those shots and just so happened when we needed one the most, after all the amazing shots we made at the end of games to get to the finals, Max nailed the coffin shut on the Knicks.

This was amazing. It showed that we can defeat super teams .

Maxwell's shot, made us a super team. It ended the Houston curse.

    It created Clutch City.

    Clutch City created us.

My kid is gigantic Rockets fan. Has a twitter presence about his love for that team. If I got to see them win one with him, that would top it. Easily.
