Dublin murders, The Spy with sacha baron cohen acting normal, and if I can find a complete and succinct watchable (with clips not just stills, and no screaming) recap of altered carbon I'll continue with its new season next. Is all of westworld's latest season up yet? The one with jesse pinkman? Going to get a month of hbo, only when I can watch all the episodes at once.
Tried to watch the last season of Legion made it through 2 episodes and then skipped to the final and don't think I really missed anything. The best thing about the series to me was Aubrey Plaza, love her.
If you enjoyed that, then watch I Am Not Ok with This. Same show creator and same author of the End of the World. So far... I've caught up on some Disney live-action remakes. Dumbo was average at best and Lion King was a lazy, pointless shot-for-shot, word-for-word remake of the original. Finished Season 3 of Lost in Space. Love the show; an excellent family sci-fi adventure. Started watching Season 2 of Jack Ryan. I'm a little disappointed that Cathy isn't in the season at all nor even mentioned. Continuing Dragon Prince, Clone Wars (still on Season 1), Castlevania. All three are excellent animated shows. I'd also throw in Voltron as well, though I've long since finished it. Maybe it's time to revisit it. Things I'd like to check out include October Faction, Lock and Keye, Umbrella Academy and waiting for the next season of Dead to Me and the last half of Fuller House. Yes, I watch Fuller House! Need to finish the last season of Man in the High Castle as well. Movies I've watched so far besides the Disneys are Troop Zero and Fighting with My Family. Both enjoyable, moreso Fighting. I'm not a wrestling fan but that movie was pretty excellent.
Castlevania should be the Sypha show. Hopefully they deliver on the world building. S2 was such a happy ending mood, I thought they were going to make the series an anthology with time skips. Altered Cabron is trashy sci fi but still interesting for me. I liked the AI-zheimers arc. Kinda predictable but the character sold it for me. That ending was turrible, but 8 episodes doesn't burn that much good will.
Yeah, they made Sypha even more badass than past seasons and made Belmont kind of a b**** in this one. Season 2 did end very happily but they left it open with Isaac in the desert and Camilla with Hector. Im with you though on the anthology though. Id rather see Sypha and Belmonts fighting adventures through towns and villages and Alucard whooping any other vampire axis that dares take over Dracs castle.
a bold statment, but one i kind of agree with. its definitely less of a downer than BB could be. its a shame that AMC doesnt really give a s*** about this show and they took a full year off to do el camino, which was just a long BB episode. really killed the momentum of this show...and j. banks aint getting any younger! i cant recommend righteous gemstones enough. if you like any of danny mcbrides other stuff then you have to watch it. i just finished avenue 5, which is about a cruiseline/spaceship in the future that gets set off-course and will take three years to return home. gravity meets gilligans island??? its not great (3.5 out of 5 for me), but its got its moments. ensemble cast with house, jarred (silicon valley) and josh gad.
I just finished season 3 of Babylon Berlin. I’ve enjoyed the series immensely. Period piece crime/drama/mystery/political with roaring 20s Berlin as a back drop.
I watched "Hunters" on Amazon Prime with Al Pacino and a solid supporting cast. I noticed people were only rating it 3 stars. I thought it was better than that. I quite enjoyed it. And, I totally did not see it coming what happened in the final episode albeit I suspected something was amiss. I guess I'm a sucker for this kind of thing, though, as I also really liked "The Man in the High Castle".
I watched Das Boot last night. The clausterphobic feeling of impending doom is really good right now.
I still have the last season on DVR and have not gotten around to watching it Same with Krypton Rocket River
I've been watching Picard like a good Trekkie, but w/ 1 episode left, it feels like Mass Effect without the exciting bits. There's sentimental reunion scenes here and there but not enough to make me feel like I'm missing out if I don't watch it. I'd be interested in watching Seth McFarlane make a 2 hour movie with the old TNG crew. Kurtzman no bueno. He and JJ Abrams can shove it.
Watching The Stranger on Netflix. Pretty good. Give it a B with two episodes left it hooks you in pretty well but some of the storylines seems a bit convoluted and unnecessary. I have liked it but it drags a bit in the middle
