I'm a teacher, so no school next week. We might be doing some form of distance learning in the near future.

My day job just announced 100% where possible work from home until April 30th. I was already 60% so it’s not a huge leap. With Skype meetings and webcams I can even ‘meet’ with customers.

I was offered a voluntary work from home option and I jumped all over that ****.

The kids are on spring break next week, so I'll spend the week trying my damnedest not to strangle them and actually get some work done.

I’m here in Washington State the epicenter of this WuhanFlu. I’ve got so much more time to practice my instruments now, the guys in the band are doing it too. We always cried that we never have time to practice, can’t make that excuse anymore. One of the positive things that came out of this is, the Seattle area traffic is one of the worst in the country, now getting around is so easy.

    Good on ya.

Spring Break just hit Central Texas and there are approximately 10,000 idiots who have come from the cities to Marble Falls for the week.

**** wasn't here yet, but it sure is now.

I actually won't have any more free time than in the olden days, pre-pandemic. Still working full time (from home) and getting a graduate degree (online).

In fact, this will be a much more time constraining setup than the olden days if the kids' daycare closes. Have a 4 year old and an attention-hungry 17 month old, and trying to get work done while they are screaming and hollering and doing all their things will be difficult. If they were both 4 and/or older, I could just park them in front of the TV or give them crafts to do all day. But a baby really requires all-day personal interaction, and both me and my wife are going to try to work from home (wife is also a full time student while working full time). So, yeah, it will be a strain. I hope my employer is cool with me just doing the best I can, but I think they might set up unrealistic expectations.

Advice: John Wick movies are good to watch from the treadmill because you don't really need the dialogue.
