Game 1: 6 sacks Game 2: 4 sacks Had family in town and didn't get to watch most of game 2, who were the OL perpetrators this game?
2 of the sacks were: Run out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage and the other was Watson just dropping the ball (no one touched him). So the line gave up 2 sacks.
7 other qb hits that they count in the stat sheet. That does not count "pressures". Maybe wait until the grades come out tonight/monday before praising BoB's OL? btw: that's 1 fewer hit and the same # of sacks that we registered against a 6th round rookie qb without both his starting OTs. Texans're going to truncate this guy's career if they don't change coaches.
Can we do a PBS thermometer thing, with 0 at the bottom and "ruined david carr" at the top (however many licks it took to get to his center), as the goal? Almost as infuriating as when those fundraisers used to preempt Doctor Who.
Stop ****ing worrying about Watson's career. He will be fine. The Texans' will give him better protection. It's the same narrative over and over, yet other QBs get hurt......fluke. Jags lost Foles, Saints lost Brees, Big Ben out.
We'll see what the grades say but this team has a whole does a terrible job of picking up the blitz. This is QB, Lines, and coach fault. They have to pick up the blitz better and be prepared for it so that they aren't trying to bomb away while the other team is clearly bringing pressure.
Your mindset is kinda wonky: Franchise qb, but don't worry about his health just let him suffer. U seem to rather just defends this sht franchise decision to keep an incompetent HC.
I officially had 2 sacks for today. The other 2 "sacks": He Carr'd one. He was going to take off but the open space closed quickly so he went out of bounds.. Then, it was a bad snap from our expensive center, hit his knees and fell on ball. Defender landed on him. QB hits, I have 8. TD score, the 2 sacks, 1 recovery fumble. On 4 deep throws which 3 should have been completions. Oh and on the near pick six that Ramsey somehow dropped.
Heh...you never disappoint. I'm sure Watson will be fine. Hell, he hasn't even had a collapsed lung yet this year.
Watson is always going to get sacked/ hit a lot. Between his ability to extend a play and O'Brien calling plays that take longer to develop or go down the field...we are going to see him take more shots than other qbs. Today I actually thought the oline played well. They ran block well up the middle and I thought for the most part Deshaun had time to throw against a good front 7.
Wait I thought he did, what was the thing where he couldn't even fly because of the pressure on his lungs, had to take a bus? Edit: got it lol hope not.
hahaha you can tell from the resolution without trying to click on it, but is gold. DsW declaring eligibility as an apprentice for the 20-21 architectural season
Can the Texans stop switching the O-line around they need to chemistry hopefully they stick with this one for a while unless injury happens
This is like your "stop worrying about the Texans not having a GM. They'll be fine." That's worked out brilliantly so far.
The plan to have a team of players who are jack of all-trades/verstatile on an oline, to switch at a moments notice (in case of injuries) sounds ideal. But in reality finding players to perform similarly at a competent level at all position of a line is stupid as fk. If one can't even build an oline in the first place, one shouldn't even b trying to find interchangeable players. Find the best player at that position and slowly build your line, not that hard. Five years of this versatile experiment and all I see is Watson getting his soul tackle out of him.
So please explain to me why they over paid the only lineman that isn't versatile and is likely unable to play multiple positions.
Depends on your perspective. Clowney trade-bad. Tunsil trade - good. You think a GM will magically get the Dolphins to take less for Tunsil? No. The person u should be mad at is Gaine for not giving up the 3rd rounder to move up for Dillard.
