I love that the small market Brewers are willing to go all out to win and maximize their period of being competitive. The Cubs, an enormous market and franchise are stuck adding Tony Kemp because their arrogant "boy genius" front office has **** the bed the last 3-4 years and the Rickett's ownership group is cheap.
538 only has data going back to 2016 but: 2018: Astros 1st (23% winning it all); Red Sox 2nd (23%) 2017: Indians 1st (28%); Dodgers 2nd (17%) 2016: Cubs 1st (26%); Red Sox 2nd (21%)
I think Stassi confidence is shot. Saw body language and exchange between him and Miley last outing and saw obvious disconnect and of course him not hitting adds to trust factor for AJ imo.
its crazy to me that we 0.5 game behind having the best record in baseball (bc we have played 1 less game) and people are panicking about needing a trade. Oh and we are in this position while missing key starters for over a month. I am all for getting a starter but I do not think that it would disastrous if we do not get anything, esp if yankees and dodgers don't significantly approve
Are those before or after the season? I can't imagine the Astros were favored over Boston before the playoffs last year.
Yes, in large part by dismantling their farm system via urgent July trades (Chapman. Quintana) - but, whatever - you were talking about fans having the right to be disappointed about the Astros not satisfying their wank-fest trade fantasies..... Please proceed....
You're right; it's actually even at 23% https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-mlb-predictions/?ex_cid=rrpromo
Because their bullpen is dogsh!t every single season. They might try fixing it in the offseason someday.
I know what you mean. Hit refresh and a totally new page of crap comes up and you can't go back. You have to close the browser and start over. Unfotunately I have no clue on the Samsung.
people on here, not everyone but there have been plenty of comments suggesting we have to make a move
