At his best, George is maybe the best two-way talent in the NBA, combining destructive defensive instincts with all-world scoring and playmaking.

    Shots fired at Kawhi.
I mean, it's really hard to score 25 ppg on a Popovich 60-win team.

Oh, and you also have Embiid and AD, (although, it's pretty clear the Hakeem-level defense isn't going to ever happen with AD. He was just the new flavor of the month.)

JR, THANK YOU for this compilation of lists! Give this man Likes!

Boston and Toronto with SEVEN players.
    Pacers, Heat with SIX

    Interesting Ariza evaluation
Trevor Ariza, Phoenix Suns (SI: 77 | CBS: 63 | ESPN: NR)

Rockets would have had SIX players with Ariza. Melo not ranked.

Why is Lillard ranked so high in these polls? He even got an all NBA nod.

For the regular season? What happened to 14-16 Harden standards?

Warriors might have the most absurd talent of all time . 4 consensus top 20 guys and cousins who could end up as a top 30-40 player depending on his recovery .

By the time the playoffs come he could end up being top 15-20. It is absolutely absurd.

I was losing my mind over GS adding Cousins at 1st, but after sitting back and thinking about it, the dude suffered an Achilles tear...that is 1 of the worst injuries an NBA player can have

he’ll have to work himself back into game shape and adjust to now being a role player instead of the man...he won’t be the player he used to be, and expect his defense to fall off big time, and he already struggled guarding the PnR to begin with

more touches for him means less for Curry, Klay, or KD which I’m more than fine with

You could make a case for the fact that GSW added Cousins and that "opportunity cost" of NOT adding more competent wing depth is a net negative.
