That was rigged!!! Its like how Cavs were (repeatedly) compensated after Lebron left. New Orleans are now being compensated for the anticipated departure of Davis. It so easy to make the process transparent and "better for TV", that the only reasonable excuse for not doing so is to manipulate it. Personally prefer a system where every team has an equal chance every year (or modified by how high you have picked in recent years). But I abhor a system that rewards mediocrity and poor performance.
