I need to get up on the Eastern Conference Teams
I still feel like the West will have the Team to beat

    Raptors/Bucks/Celtics/Pacers/Sixers
will probably be the top 5
    but
I still think they all will lose a 7 game series
    to healthy squads of
    Rockets/Warriors/Lakers/OKC

West still king esp with Bron going west.

GSW, Rox, OKC, Lakers beat all the East teams.

What I'm not sure about is depth I dunno how many good west teams vs east.

the west right now has 14 of it's 15 teams over .450

the east only has 8 teams over .450

the only bad team in the west is the suns, which means if you're not on your game you could catch a loss. there are not as many penciled in wins like in the east.

the anthony davis led pelicans are sitting at 12th. that shows you how competitive the west is.

There's a lot of mediocrity in the league right now. Having said that, the west is still substantially stronger overall.

If I were making a power ranking I would say 10 of the 11 worst teams in the league are in the east, although the top 5 are solid. I think when healthy us and GS are clearly the best teams, but 3-11 is tightly bunched, and pretty well mixed with both conferences.

I think that every western team (except for phoenix) would be at least the 6 seed in the east. It is pathetic how bad the east is. We have been saying that since the 90s and people said of would turn around but of never has...

Look at the allstars in the east. Pathetic.

    Put it another way...

The east has 6 teams at .500 or better. The west has 10.
The east has 4 teams under .300. The west has only 1.
The 8th seed of the east is 3 games behind the 8th seed of the west.

That said, there are five teams in the east that can be dangerous in the playoffs, and might even put up a good fight in the Finals. The Raptors have improved. The Bucks-Rockets game showed me that MIL is for real. The Pacers are quietly doing well. The Sixers and Celtics are underachieving and may be able to turn the corner in time.
