It’s been mentioned that teams are trying to move back, but it’s not being emphasized enough how much teams are trying to move back. The cost of moving up is as low as it’s ever been, cause no one wants to move up. Like EVERYONE is trying to move down.

Add about 5-6 more teams to that list. Tonight can’t come soon enough.

    Kiper

    1. Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
    2. San Francisco 49ers: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
    3. New York Jets: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
    4. Oakland Raiders: Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky
    5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Devin White, ILB, LSU
    6. New York Giants: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
    7. Jacksonville Jaguars: T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa
    8. Detroit Lions: Brian Burns, OLB, Florida State
    9. Buffalo Bills: Jonah Williams, OT/G, Alabama
    10. Denver Broncos: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
    11. Cincinnati Bengals: Devin Bush, ILB, Michigan
    12. Green Bay Packers: Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
    13. Miami Dolphins: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
    14. Atlanta Falcons: Cody Ford, OT/G, Oklahoma
    15. Washington Redskins: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
    16. Carolina Panthers: Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State
    17. New York Giants: Daniel Jones, QB, Duke
    18. Minnesota Vikings: Chris Lindstrom, G, Boston College
    19. Tennessee Titans: Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan
    20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
    21. Seattle Seahawks: Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State
    22. Baltimore Ravens: Erik McCoy, C/G, Texas A&M
    23. Houston Texans: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU

Houston needs help at offensive tackle, but with Dillard and Ford gone, I'll move to defensive back. Williams is a polarizing prospect, but he is very talented. The Texans should use their two second-round picks on offensive linemen.

    24. Oakland Raiders: Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
    25. Philadelphia Eagles: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
    26. Indianapolis Colts: Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State
    27. Oakland Raiders: Darnell Savage Jr., S, Maryland
    28. Los Angeles Chargers: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson
    29. Seattle Seahawks: Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State
    30. Green Bay Packers: Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
    31. Los Angeles Rams: Garrett Bradbury, C/G, NC State
    32. New England Patriots: Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson

    McShay

    1. Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
    2. San Francisco 49ers: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
    3. New York Jets: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
    4. Oakland Raiders: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
    5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky
    6. New York Giants: Devin White, ILB, LSU
    7. Jacksonville Jaguars: T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa
    8. Detroit Lions: Brian Burns, OLB, Florida State
    9. Buffalo Bills: Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
    10. Denver Broncos: Devin Bush, ILB, Michigan
    11. Cincinnati Bengals: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama
    12. Green Bay Packers: Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
    13. Miami Dolphins: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
    14. Atlanta Falcons: Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma
    15. Washington Redskins: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
    16. Carolina Panthers: Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan
    17. New York Giants: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
    18. Minnesota Vikings: Garrett Bradbury, C, NC State
    19. Tennessee Titans: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
    20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
    21. Seattle Seahawks: Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State
    22. Baltimore Ravens: Erik McCoy, C/G, Texas A&M
    23. Houston Texans: Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State

Watch for Houston to try to trade up on Thursday night. But considering Houston allowed 62 sacks of Deshaun Watson in 2018, the fact that Dillard allowed just one all season for the Cougars might also be of interest. He has excellent feet.

    24. Oakland Raiders: Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
    25. Philadelphia Eagles: Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
    26. Indianapolis Colts: Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson
    27. Oakland Raiders: Rock Ya-Sin, CB, Temple
    28. Los Angeles Chargers: Daniel Jones, QB, Duke
    29. Seattle Seahawks: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson
    30. Green Bay Packers: Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State
    31. Los Angeles Rams: Chris Lindstrom, G, Boston College
    32. New England Patriots: Darnell Savage Jr., S, Maryland

Unless Dillard falls to us at 23, it feels like we will take best available cornerback. I am really hoping greedy is there at 23, but regardless we should be able to get a high level cb at that pick. I'd be willing to bet they are planning on taking tytus howard as a project in the second round. If we could get Greedy, Mcgary & Howard with the first 3 picks i'd call that a win. Mcgary will likely be gone though too.

Why would the "low risk' Texans take a chance on a polarizing prospect?

I think the days of low risk and safe play went away with rick smith. Brian Gaine seems to know what he wants and doesn't seem scared to take risk. If the guy fits his "height, speed and body type" requirements then he will probably pull the trigger.

Depending how you rank them, teams can trade back and still get the #1 ranked CB, interior OL, or possibly the 2nd or 3rd ranked QB in the class.

Texans not likely to trade up. More likely to trade down.

    — John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) April 25, 2019

Jadeveon Clowney’s not going anywhere. They want to sign him to an extension. If not, he’ll play under the franchise tag.

    — John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) April 25, 2019

Besides OT and CB, Texans need an inside pass rusher, a third RB, a third safety and a fourth WR.

    — John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) April 25, 2019

Texans aren’t looking for a TE. They have 4. They like two of their 2018 draft choices entering their second seasons: Jordan Akins and Jordan Thomas.

It’s DEEP with DLs, so anyone who doesn’t need a DL will see their targets fall down. I keep hearing trades could become chaotic if certain players fall. My best advice is get the popcorn ready.

As much as I know we need offensive line help, if Greedy Williams is in reach they need to take him
