Paul George and Damian Lillard being ahead of Chris Paul is genuinely moronic

Was thinking the same. Those 2 in particular surprised me.

What is also funny about this prediction, is Bontemps ALSO predicts that Trevor Ariza will be bought out and return to the Rockets. So that "continuity" element basically is negated? Or will now the loss of Moute be the lynch pin? Ok.....

TLDR: More completely misinformed Rockets "analysis" from The Ringer. Here's some highlights:

So Harden is MVP of the league but Paul is MVP of the Rockets?

Typical Ringer-style rant about how James is unwatchable, completely ignoring his ridiculous crossovers and step backs and his god-tier passing ability, which is probably the most entertaining part of his game.

The "perfect storm' for the Rockets included the guy who you just named as the team MVP getting injured and not playing in the last two games?

Verrier finishes the article by saying the losses of Ariza and Mbah a Moute mean the Rockets lost the Anderson trade. I didn't realise they were involved but apparently so.

Warmy welcome back TNT & Chuck! ;)

    Chuck on PTI:

(Warriors) Realistically, the only team that can beat them is the Boston Celtics. They're loaded but gotta make it work because they have an overabundance of talent. The Rockets took a step back losing Luc & Trevor. On Paper, just on paper, the Celtics have more talent than the Warriors.

(DeMarcus Cousins/Warriors) Expecting great things from DeMarcus. He has a lot of money at stake. He has to prove he's healthy & will play well. Before he blew out his achilles, he was going to get $200M. He has a lot of pressure to buy into the Warriors but also play well.

(Lakers) They're a 5-6-7 seed. Don't think they'll win 50 games. It'll be a tough sledding for them all year. The West is loaded. The Warriors are the best team. I got a sleeper for you: the Denver Nuggets. They'll surprise people. Spurs will be good, Thunder will be good, Rockets will be good, Portland will be pretty good, Utah, New Orleans. Davis is the 2nd best player in the world. All those games will be hard for the Lakers. I think they'll be a lower seed & will have a long season.

(Jimmy Butler) Jimmy can start packing. He won't be in Minnesota. He should be packing as we speak. He's a heck of a player but the Timberwolves decided to pay Towns & Wiggins. They won't pay 3 max guys. Butler is a hell of a player but can start packing as we speak.

(Sixers/Fultz) I think you have to be somewhat patient. This is his rookie year. He really didn't play at all last year. All the pressure is on him. They'll go only as far as he can help them get. Ben is terrific, Joel (along with) Saric, Covington, Chandler but if they don't get guard play from Fultz, they won't be able to compete with Toronto & Boston. There's 3 big teams in the East. Stop sleeping on the Raptors.

(So Golden State & Boston in the Finals?) Golden State & Boston will be in the Finals.

Dave DuFour thinks that Rockets won’t win 55 games, won’t be 2nd seed, and aren’t no longer a contender because of Ariza.

Tmac just said he'd take AD over Harden because of the 'two way player' thing. I mean Tmac talking about defense? That gave me a chuckle.

TMac probably took AD cause he reminds him about himself...never won a playoff series.

Welp. I take it all back. I'll eat crow. Media was dead on about this team. In fact...they were too high on them.

At this point, the Media can say what they want. I am not going to defend this current mess.
