The Oklahoma City Thunder, THE SLEEPING GIANT THAT NOBODY WANTS TO FACE IN THE FIRST ROUND because of all their potential star power wattage, are now 3-12 in the playoffs in the last 3 years.
It really isn't unless you can find another coach that can control Westbrook. Westbrook straight up ignores Donovan's commands at times.
no they dont. not even close. this sounds like all the offseason heads that bite into their hype. looks like theirs still delusional out there. But as long as they pay the luxury tax right for a 1st round exit. It shows they're committed to winning! when in reality they have no shot I'd hardly call the likes of felton, fergusson, morris, noel pieces to win it all. all these guys were horrible in the playoffs. westbrook is nothing more than a 2nd/3rd tier star with 1st tier privileges/treatment. but triple double though
From having Harden, Durant, and Westbrick on the same team and making the finals to now losing consecutive years in the first round. Talk about highs and lows.
tired of their overhype...they are not good, dangerous, or scary all these posts talking about the Rockets should avoid them at all costs and people wanting nothing to do with OKC Really? They’re a garbage playoff team.
They should trade WB while they have the chance to do so. Won’t ever win with that bonehead. He’s 30 and soon his athleticism will begin to fade. He’ll eventually be the next Carmelo Anthony.
This is exactly the kind of coach they need. They need a Rudy T or Phil Jackson 'Veterans Coach' type of coach. I disagree with the 'pieces' portion. Yes, role players are key, but theirs aren't terrible. The NBA is the only major sport (maybe hockey but I don't watch it) where a single player can absolutely dominate and carry the team to a championship. We see it time and again, over and over again, in the NBA. Westbrook and Paul are top-tier players despite the anti-Westbrook rhetoric here on CF. They can do it with the right coach. But...whatever, I don't really want them to do any better. It's an academic conversation.
OKC does not have anything close to the pieces necessary to win a title their roster is devoid of shooting...they have too many limited players that are either good defensively, but trash offensively, or capable of hitting a three, but can’t defend u can not win a title with Russ...the man can’t shoot, and he uses too many possessions...his decision making is horrible, and he’s 30, so he’s not gonna all of the sudden get some major increase in BBIQ...Paul George is also too inconsistent How CF could be so scared of this team is amazing to me. In the playoffs, and for good portions of the regular season, they are garbage.
I'm still thankful Rockets didn't see the Thunder in the post season. Doesn't matter how trash they are against other teams, Rockets love to fold against the Thunder. Grant and T-Ferg turn into 3 point champions against the Rockets
He doesn't seem to be improving after each year so he's pretty much topped out. So with that in mind, do you start to rebuild with a clean slate or trade Russ for some players to team up with Paul G
He's actually regressing with his shooting, and his athleticism will go down as the time goes by, he's going to be 31 when next season starts.
let them keep that 2nd highest payroll in the league and continuing to pay LT. it's apparently the model organization for some of clutchfans to pay luxury tax for a roster of players that don't give you a legitimate shot at a title. and a 1st round exit 3 years in a row. one at the hands of a rookie Morey is a terrible GM
