    In the 2017-18 season, they lost Gordon Hayward for the whole year and Kyrie Irving for the entire playoffs.

    Despite that:
    They dispatched the Bucks with ease in Round 1.
    *They dispatched the 76ers in six games in Round 2.
    *They took Cavaliers to 7 games in ECF.

    * to be confirmed.

    With their great playoff run despite missing both Hayward and Irving, they are going to be scary in 2018-19 once they both return at full strength! They might even be the favorites to win the NBA championship in 2019!

    Here is the expected starting 5 for Celtics in 2018-19:

    Kyrie Irving
    Jaylen Brown
    Gordon Hayward
    Jayson Tatum
    Al Horford

    Isn't Tatum more of a SG-SF than a PF ? (Although it doesn't mean anything in the NBA nowadays)

    doesnt really matter. you can plug hayward there and he can be your "pf". either way like you said it doesnt really mean anything in this era of positionless basketball

    On defense, Brown usually guards the PF. On offense, it doesn't matter.

    Brad Stevens is easily the best coach in the league and I can totally see them dominating the league in a few year's time. They have so many assets I mean they can probably make an offer for Anthony Davis with all the talent they have right now. Horford+Smart+Brown+Rozier and pick for Davis I think NO says yes to that deal.

    If Lebron goes to LA with Cp3 and Lakers trade Ball and Ingram for Kawhi you are gonna see Celtics vs Lakers Round 3.
