[2017 - TV/Movies] Undiscovered Gems? or Is Hulu worth it?

    I am running out of interesting things to watch.
    Spending more and more time surfing the archives of Amazon and Netflix
    I have XFinity so I DVR most shows I like but i have too much free time
    Running out of interesting things to watch.

    I think the biggest thing is that in shows .. . more and more I prefer to binge.
    Esp if they are not too too long ago

    Finished: the Wire, The Sopranos, all things Marvel , Sneaky Pete, Billions season 1, Goliath, Man in High Castle, on and on.

    So now looking for the new frontier. . .what's out there
    I have heard some interesting things on HULU

    Not sure I want another monthly service
    [if I get hulu then Amazon may go]

    In general hulu's good for network tv, you aren't going to find a lot of original programming. However if you do get hulu, the best original program they ever had was Battleground. It was pretty crazy that they let the series die. So if you are looking for something to watch I highly recommend it.

    A friend just recommended me Detective Alice on Netflix. No mention of it here. Anyone seen it?

    Sounds like Banshee should be right up your alley. Have you seen it? It's ShowTime, though, I think. Has a mobster feel to it ... and a lot of high quality t*** action.

    Netflix beats Hulu on original programming and movies.

    I think Hulu has more of my taste of stuff I missed on cable like Fargo, etc

    I also like Mossad 101, if you can get past the subtitles ... just came on Netflix this year. It's an Israel original show like Homelamd was. They make pretty good shows in Israel. Mossad has some good actors/actresses.

    They have commercials on Hulu if you take the cheapest plan.

    I think some interesting things have happened
    and
    I think they had more misses this season
