Zeeshan what do you do for a living, cause I'm at work in front of my computer and you're scooping pretty hard in here lol
Lies. This is JR's duplicated robot twin. They were both created by a partnership of Bob and Les to scoop every news leak that contains Houston sports.
In other words, we can increase capspace by cutting guys like Joseph and Cushing, but then will have to use capspace to replace them. So not really capspace that is available to free up
This is the money they are allocating into every position in 2017 That’s 2 percent on QB, 7 on RB, 10 on WR, 5 on TE, 25 percent on OL, 18 on DL, 15 on LB and 19 percent on DB
Interesting. We have the second most cap space. Also, our areas of need (except quarterback, are the areas where we already spend the most money at.
With no 1st or 2nd round picks next year, don't think it's too early to take a look at our projected cap situation since improvements will need to be made via FA. Current Situation: 2018 Total Liabilities: $139,212,224 2018 Salary Cap (Projected): $178,000,000 2018 Cap Room: $38,787,776 Even in our current situation, our 2018 cap isn't in terrible shape. Starting Hopkins and C.J.'s new deals this season versus 2018 gives us another $6M or so in additional cap space. JJo's contract finally comes off the books freeing up another $7M. Projected with Cuts to Duane and Cushing: 2018 Total Liabilities: $121,000,000 2018 Salary Cap (Projected): $178,000,000 2018 Cap Room: $57,037,000 Duane and Cushing should be the first of cuts which frees up $20M or so. This is a no brainer but then again, it's Rick Smith. This would likely put us in the Top 5 of available cap space. But that is where the easy cuts end really, cutting Jeff Allen and Derek Newton could free up another $9M but that would only leave 3 OL under contract. Mancz, XSF, and Lamm will all be UFA next year. What we really need is for guys like Cunningham, Kevin Johnson, Braxton/Fuller, and at least one Safety to play well so we don't have to spend big money at those positions.
