House Republicans look like they are already preparing for a Clinton Presidency by beginning it with a perjury charge and looking to find a way to impeach her.

Seems they struggle with the definition of perjury though.

So ridiculous. Why can't the House let it go and try to govern the country instead of trying to already win the 2020 election and get nothing done for 4 years (which they will then blame on Clinton). So pathetic.

House Republicans #1 goal is to make hillary Clinton a one term president.

It's stunning the lack of decorum and professionalism. There's no 'rise above' in politics anymore.

What really gets me is that the Democrats always seem to take this stuff without delivering any counter-punches. They always seems to leave everyone scratching their head. I mean, they took back the House in 2006 and immediately "impeachment is off the table" was uttered. Why forfeit your best bargaining tool? So weak.

I'm sure she'll give them plenty of opportunity.

Republicans have lost it, they are looking at tricks now instead of changing their message to fit what AMERICA is today not 1950.

She probably does, but I'd rather our congress focus on fixing the country then trying to dig and dig and dig into one person and waste all that time and effort and money that we are footing the bill for while things continue to get worse.

We need action not this same stupid crap

Pelosi wanted to nail the Bush admin people responsible for the lies that led to the Iraq war during Obama's first term, but Obama supposedly shot that down. Democrats tend to do too much trying to reconcile and move forward and not enough hammering.

Anyway, this suspected impeachment would be a typical GOP move. Why build coalitions and try to win an election when you can subvert the system and undermine democracies to ensure your interests rule the republic?

Maintaining the current tax law and corporate regulation level is the only priority for the GOP, stymie all reform. Capitalism is like a shark, it doesn't have ethics, it doesn't see compromise, it just uses every available means to to extend it's dominion. It's not right or wrong, it's just the nature of the beast. It's up to civilized men to direct it for good and limit it from evil through laws and regulation.

One of the skills needed is the ability to see through the smokescreens like the tobacco lobby, anti-global warming lobby, the auto industry buying and closing trolley lines etc. etc. You need to be able to look at things and know what is right and what is utter bullshait generated and perpatrated for profit.

I wish Mr. Obama would hit the campaign trail with his new popularity and emphasize to people how important it is to defeat GOP lock-steppers down on the ballot. They are generally 'owned' and not representative of the people.

Wait...if you listen to talk radio, the "establishment" Republicans have done nothing but kowtow to Obama and the Democrats for the last 8 years and are going to do the same thing for Clinton. I thought that's why we nominated Trump?

It's not, what is clear is she is not as much a liar as your chosen candidate:

    Trump.

An impeachment would backfire yugely. Nothing would piss off Democrats enough to vote en masse in the mid terms than a Clinton impeachment right after the election. Sour grapes would look incredibly sour.

Yeah, that's clear. But, it'd be a mistake to try to impeach her after her election for crimes that came to light before her election. If the American people already know she perjured herself before Congress and elect her President anyway, what right has Congress to deny her the office? I think it'd be a big political mistake. It'd cause resentment among voters. And, it'd be ineffectual anyway -- even if they succeeded, it'd only make Kaine president and the Democrat's reign would roll on regardless.
