Why would I say he sucks when it's clear he doesn't? And why is saying that Lin, like many other players who get to the NBA, did not reach his potential in part because of the circumstances he found himself in?

The NBA has tons of them. Probably can start with almost PG that spent most of their career playing along side MJ, Kobe, or other dominant SG. And yes, this includes Patrick Beverley, who even said recently that he was wanting more than his role in Houston would allow him to do. Derek Fisher's stats jumped when he got out of LA. Dragic, Lowry, many others started in situations that were not great for their development...luckily, they were eventually got to situations that were better. After Linsanity, Lin didn't have that kind of situation until he got to Charlotte, and now the Nets...hopefully he's able to take advantage and get closer to his potential with consecutive years under a coach who supports him and a system that is good for his style of play.

Airemy Lin plays for the worst team in the league because he sucks and that's where he chose to go.

No one forced him to go there. That mental midget tucked his tail in between his legs and ran to the Nets.

Also, no one is looking to trade for Airemy because he sucks. Why downgrade??

Lakers dumped Airemy Lin and kept Jordan Clarkson lol..

LOFs were looking forward to Kobe and Airemy combo. Instead, Kobe disgraced their hero and Lakers dumped him.

    lulz...

Pray for Tinman and his family. Who knows what flood-stage they are experiencing.

You'll know things are more or less back to 'normal' when he starts posting here again.

When Clutchfans was flooded with LOF, that was a disaster.
    We shall overcome, Houston strong.

I want you and everyone to understand this.

    Yup.

Saying Airemy sucks isn't hating. It's just saying as it is. If he didn't suck he wouldn't be where he is...the Nets lol....

Mental midget packed his bags for the Nets as a free agent!

LOL you forgot Stever Kerr too

serioursly, you put Pbev, D Fisher, Dragic, and Lowry in the same boat as Lin?

    1) they're teams didn't give up a pick just to get rid of them

    2) contenders were competing for the services of those four and they all flourished playing for contenders because they have confidence and the mental strength and determination

not sure if Lin was pursued by contenders, but he sure ran to a bottom dweller team because he wasn't confident and like everyone here say's a mental midget

didn't expect anything new from someone who thinks stevens will start lin over IT anyway

    Excellent post.

Airemy Lin in his good healthy days (not over the hill or aging) was offloaded like a scrub by throwing in a pick for the taker.

That was what it took to get rid of that sorry scrub's ass. Not an incoming player/asset incoming or even a straight up giveaway. Had to throw a bone at the Lakers just so they would bite. Otherwise Lakers weren't picking up that scrub.

And this was after Morey trying for a year to offload Airemy.

Now that is a trade for a scrub!

Absolutely I put Lin in the same boat as guys like Bev and Fisher, who played next to dominant SGs and limited their productivity as a PG. Bev and Fisher were fortunate to be good 3-and-D guys, whereas Lin was not, so they were a good fit with their dominant SGs. But no question if Bev and Fisher had the opportunity to play in a different system with players who were not so ball-dominant that both of those guys would have developed into more complete PG's in the NBA. Do you think that Bev and Fisher would not have become better playmakers for their teams if they had more experience to do so?

In terms of Lowry and Dragic, both did not have the full support of their head coach while they were in Houston, and clearly they did once they left Houston which allowed them to flourish. Had they stayed in Houston and had to play along side Harden, it's not clear to me if they would have become as productive PG's as they have. I'm not saying that Lin is as good as either of these guys, but it's unlikely that we will ever know if he could have reached their level because he did not get the opportunities they did with the coaching support they did until later along his career.

Let me ask you this...if Lin is healthy and plays in at least 65 games this season, how many games do you think they will win? I am predicting ~35-38 wins and they will contend for a playoff spot. Do you think they are still just a 20-win team?

    This is how LOF operate

    1. Lin = Good
    2. If Lin = Bad then See #1
