not really a good one. the celtics are 32-12 w/ Kyrie playing The celtics in their first 44 games with IT playing were 29-15 and their numbers are pretty close across the board with some better than the other
Yup that’s as much evidence as you can have that he feels LBj isn’t staying! He doesn’t want to be blamed for letting him go again and going through rebuilding. He knows once LBj leaves they will never win anything again.
Celtics this year are way better than Celtics last year, their wing combo alone is amazing and Horford is playing like a superstar. The fact that they have comparable stats makes Thomas better because he had less help and had to take the brunt of the enemy defense. Irving has a much easier job this year because although he is the first option Horford and the 2 wings make everything so much easier.
Lue is just asking to get fired now, Corwder has been bad but Thompson has been unplayable all season.
TT should of never been taken out of the the lineup in the first place. that was a dumb coaching decision but then again lue is not the smartest coach anyway its one thing to play small ball in spurts but starting that from the very beginning is just plain dumb. couple that with the pg position being a mismatch in itself, its no wonder the cavs defense gives up 100 pts in 3 quarters
Rearranging chairs on the Titanic, no? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...des-that-would-remake-the-cleveland-cavaliers 1. Channing Frye, Iman Shumpert and Cleveland’s 2023 second round pick to the Sacramento Kings for George Hill. 2. Kevin Love, Cedi Osman and a second-round pick to the Detroit Pistons for Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley 3. Isaiah Thomas, Derrick Rose and the Miami Heat’s 2020 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Dewayne Dedmon 4. J.R. Smith and Cleveland’s 2018 first-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for DeMarre Carroll Projected lineup G- George Hill G- Avery Bradley F- LeBron James F- Tobias Harris C- Dewayne Dedmon Cleveland’s starting lineup would be James and the four newcomers. All five are shooters, which would allow James to have the ball in his hands as often as possible. And there would be a dramatic increase in defensive talent at both backcourt spots and at center. The second unit would have Wade as its main ballhandler surrounded by three shooters (Kyle Korver, Carroll and Crowder) and then either Thompson, if the Cavaliers needed a traditional center, or Jeff Green if they were facing a small lineup. Zizic and Calderon would be at the end of the bench, along with two open roster spots that could go to whatever buyout targets came available after the deadline. Meanwhile, Cleveland would still own the Nets’ unprotected first-round pick, and likely improved it by making the Carroll trade. Such an overhaul not only would better position the Cavaliers to make a deep playoff run this season; it would also leave them with enough flexibility to adjust to a future with James — making more moves to surround him with talent if he stays, or giving them a series of large, expiring contracts to help take on bad salary in return for future assets if he leaves. That would be the ideal scenario. We’ll see what actually materializes over the next two weeks. ______________________ From Isaiah Thomas - Dwyane Wade - Jose Calderon - Derrick Rose - London Perrantes JR Smith - Kyle Korver - Iman Shumpert - John Holland LeBron James - Jae Crowder - Cedi Osman Kevin Love - Jeff Green - Channing Frye Tristan Thompson - Ante Zizic to George Hill - Dwyane Wade - Jose Calderon - London Perrantes Avery Bradley - Kyle Korver - John Holland LeBron James - DeMarre Carroll - Jae Crowder Tobias Harris - Jeff Green Dewayne Dedmon - Tristan Thompson - Ante Zizic
IT: Criticism isn't fair Isaiah Thomas said he's taking on an excessive amount of blame for the current struggles of the Cleveland Cavaliers. "We've been a lowest five [rated] defensive team in the NBA the whole time [this season]," Thomas said after practice Saturday. "So when I come back, it's my fault now. Which, life isn't fair, but that's not fair, bro. At all. I just laugh at those things because I know in this circle and this team, everybody believes in each other, and everybody's in here for it to work and for us to be playing in June. That's the ultimate goal." Thomas reportedly led a confrontation of Kevin Love last week during a team meeting. "To be real, I didn't call him out," Thomas said of Love. "I asked him why wasn't he at the game during the game supporting his teammates. And then after the game, I didn't [get to] ask him because he wasn't there. So I was seeing where he was. So I didn't call him out any. So those reports that whoever is saying that, there's no bad blood between me and him. We go back to fifth and sixth grade [as AAU teammates]. I asked him a question where he was, and it was never clarified. And that's all it was. ... "Whoever reported that it was, and we was bashing Kevin Love, there was nothing to bash him about. We just wanted to know where he was and why he didn't play."
Kyrie Irving, not LeBron, was the real MVP. This is becoming clearer every game. It is possible that if Irving stayed but LeBron was traded, Cavaliers would be better off today and in the future.
The Cavs' locker room has become toxic. Cliques... Vets vs.Youngins' / Starters vs. Bench Brigade / IT's shot selection etc... Ear: considering Channing.
