warrior players got way too cocky, repeatedly poking lebron. pure stupidity on their part to try and humilate a great player like that, just let sleeping dogs lie. they had him exactly where they wanted him -- out of sync, tentative, almost conceding the series -- and then donkey had to wake him up at the end of game 4, and thompson/speights just pissed him off even more after that. GS probably wins in the next couple games, but they could have already been done now.
Uh, no. Home court will be huge for the Warriors if it gets to a Game 7. But that doesn't mean there wouldn't be enormous pressure on them. The mere thought of coughing up a 3-1 lead in the Finals with 2 of the 3 remaining games at home and especially on the heels of their own 3-1 comeback(not to mention their historic 73-9 season) will weigh heavily on them.

I really would like to see what happens if Green is out for the series. I think he's way more important to the warriors and Steph Curry.
of course. you can't replace or even replicate everything that DG individually does for GS, even trying as a team effort, specifically on the defensive end. His energy, versatility, playmaking, IQ, elite defensive presence is one of a kind. People that try and downplay his importance got a clear look on what its like to be without him and the problems that come up. There's no other in that locker room or league for that matter that is able to guard 1-5 in all defensive situations. Whether its 1 on 1, pick n rolls, off ball screens, the list goes on and on.
I think were about to see a historic level choke by the Warriors! Psychologically, it's already over. Lebron is in Curry's head. Cavs in 7!
Agreed, because what broadcasters call "veteran moves" make all the difference in an NBA series between two skilled teams. It's the way Jerry Sloan Jazz teams were perennial contenders, and it's the way the early Spurs teams were dominant. If you mix very high skill with "veteran competitiveness", aka agitation (flopping and testing the limits of what refs will put up with), you have a recipe for NBA success. Green is the glue for this team, no doubt. He's the identity of the Warriors even though Curry is the face.
I think now people can start to understand the perspective of fans who are upset that Green wasn't suspended in the OKC series. If he is, maybe we're watching Kevin Durant vs Lebron James today. Would've been a funner series, in my opinion.

I didn't watch the game, but what the hell Kevin Love. What the hell. 2 points, 3 boards, 4 fouls, in 33 minutes! How do you do so little while being on the court for so long??
It wouldn't have made a difference, if he got suspended he would've been for game 4 of the series which OKC won anyway.
He didn't even have Draymond to pester him too, which is sad. Can't remember much of Love's offense while he was in Minny; wasn't he somewhat of a good post player? Seems like he'd been reduced to just a jump shooter in CLE, or is that just me?
In Minnesota and UCLA, he was much heavier and now here, he's a lot thinner. That might have to do something with it. Or the Cavs don't know how to use him except for standing in the corner and shooting
He was shooting mostly highly contested shots. GS has good defense. When he finally was open he missed a few of those too. The Cavs need to play Tristan and Jefferson as much as possible. They are big time assets for the Cavs this series.
Well, several points to make, in his defense. 1. The offense was truly this: Lebron or Irving bring ball up court. Whoever brings the ball up drives and probably shoots, especially if guarded by Curry or Barnes. No other Cavs player even got 10 shot attempts. And it worked. The Warriors' help and interior defense was that bad. Curry was completely abused by Irving, over and over again. 2. I don't know why Love got so few boards honestly. Part of it was he deferred in every way to Lerbon, and Lerbon decided to beast on the boards last night (16). Love was active, going after loose balls like a maniac. A number of good hustle plays, and you know, he was like +18 for the game in 33 minutes. Only Irving was better in that way. 3. On offense, I said elsewhere or in this thread, he looked like someone who didn't want to make coach or Lerbon mad. He just didn't look for his own, at all. And as per point #1, he hardly touched the ball anyway. Weird, weird game. insert gif of Love trying to high five Lerbon. Awkward!
