With the trade deadline over and the rest of the half of the season to be played I would like to make a thread regarding free agents that we could sign. We got rid of two players so we have 2-3 spots and more then likley will sign a few free agents for insurance purposes come playpffs assuming we make the playoffs.

Off the top of my head

    David Lee
    Verajo

We're bought out recently and we could expect a few more buyouts. Wouldn't mind giving lee a shot.

Any free agents and D leaguers yall think could help us out?

Andrea Bargnani is going to be bought out, we should target him because he can hit threes and spread the floor

like how people call it half the season just because of the All Star break....when half the season is 41 games

I like Hickson as big man insurance.

Elite rebounder, can catch and finish well, physical player, can play both PF or C. Has playoff experience on some really good Lebron teams.

Apparently it was important to get under the luxury tax, so it seems highly unlikely we'll now sign someone to the minimum and go above that number again.

Could be wrong, but that's what I've read from people on the board, seems to make sense.

David Lee ain't coming here given how Morey treated his cousin Jeremy Lin and his friend Chandler Parsons.

Nope, he'd cost money, the Rockets aren't going to spend any.

no he wouldn't, getting bought out means he is still paid by the nets, could sign him to the minimum

The minimum is still money. If he'll play for free then sure, but the Rockets aren't going over the luxury, that's the most important thing to the FO right now.
