Funny that the last three teams Dwights been on have essentially been relegated to a barren wasteland free agents don't want to go to. Also LOL to Amicks article. This free agent might go to the Warriors. This free agent? Warriors. This other free agent almost certainly might go to the Warriors.
Agreed. I think if Moore's salary was low enough he would be a major plus. Dudley has been a solid baller since he was at Boston College. Nicholson is skilled but slow-footed. Hasn't brought much emotion or passion to his game. Some question his work ethic and love for the game. I think he's a good clean kid with good character. He's just Mr. Nice Guy too much on court. Definitely skilled. More suited for a slower tempo team. Probably a minimum salary guy IF he gets a contract offer offer at all.
As a BC alum who watched him play college basketball I still can't believe a slow footed chubby SF carved out a pro career the way he did. It proves, don't underestimate bball intelligence and a good 3 pt shot. Long live Dudley!
Evan Fournier/Seth Curry/GP2 Harden/Wesley Johnson or preferably Rj Hunter if Boston is willing for trev or bev. Kj McDaniels/Caron Butler/Sam Dekker Ryan Anderson/Beasley/Montrez Whiteside/Capela/Onuaku Get errr done Morey.
We can use Dudley simply for his intelligence and locker room presence that we need. We haven't had that since harden had been here. Dudley wants to come here, he's a shooter that we don't have much of, why not?
Wasn't sure if new thread worthy or not but I don't know if this is a Stein thing or a Broussard thing... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Story online soon with <a href="https://twitter.com/Chris_Broussard">@Chris_Broussard</a>: ESPN sources say Dwight Howard has set up free-agent meetings after July 1 with Atlanta and Boston.</p>— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/748024165052080128">June 29, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
http://www.espn.com.au/nba/story/_/id/16602489/dwight-howard-meet-atlanta-hawks-boston-celtics The Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics are the first known teams to secure face-to-face recruiting meetings with free-agent big man Dwight Howard, according to league sources. Sources told ESPN that Howard is likely to meet with as many as five teams in free agency, with a return to the Houston Rockets widely seen as unlikely after Howard declined his $23.2 million player option for next season. The Miami Heat, sources said, have not yet booked a meeting with Howard in free agency -- which officially starts Friday at 12:01 a.m. ET -- but could emerge as a more serious Howard suitor after registering preliminary interest in the three-time former NBA defensive player of the year. ESPN reported earlier Tuesday that the Hawks, while still trying to convince Kevin Durant to grant them a face-to-face sitdown, have been weighing a run at the Atlanta native Howard to pair him with Al Horford in their frontcourt. Horford is also a free agent this summer and will receive considerable outside interest. Before Howard opted for free agency by declining his 2016-17, ESPN's Calvin Watkins reported that some members of the Rockets' organization were lobbying Howard to stay. But the recent arrival of Mike D'Antoni as Rockets coach, under whom Howard never clicked when both were with the Los Angeles Lakers, encouraged interested teams to pursue the 30-year-old center this summer.
Sure. But for 11 million dollars a year? No thanx. It's more likely that Dudley injures his back again than not.
Yeah, i don't understand the Dudley love, i mean, he's a nice dude and good player to have around, but he's getting old, it's not a Morey move to pay a decent/ok rotation player with no upside left that much for multiple years...how may of you guys would give a 11x3 to Ariza today? And he's not as injured as Dud.
PG - Mike Conley SG - James Harden SF - Allen Crabbe PF - Ryan Anderson C - Clint Capela Do we have enough cap space for this?
Andrew Nicholson would be a sneaky good get for our bench unit too. Not extended by the Magic, a stretch four who can shoot the three. Will be cheap.
Right now we have around 45 million to spend, Conley will get 25, Anderson 15 to 20, Crabbe 10 to 15 so no, dump two between Ariza, Beverley, Brewer and that may be enough, but it's obviously not worth it.
no reason for Atlanta to do it since Horford is with full birdrights. If they get Dwight if I am not wrong it just means for them they will let Bazemore go. Which since they took 2 young wings and Bud is amazing at developing them (two straight years his wings are about to get near max) is fine.
