The values of these contracts are really interesting. We'll see if this will be the new norm or if they will come back down eventually

Solid deal for the Nets and Lin. Clearly, winning is not what is most important to Lin, however.

of course not, it's all about him and his brand which is his mission all along.
it's not like he was poor before, but now he can afford more than 1 house in palo alto, maybe in zuckerberg's neighborhood

Or maybe he believes that having the starting PG spot gives him the best opportunity to win...

So staying in Charlotte = winning? The guy wanted to start and got a starter position. And a nice little salary at the same time. I'd like to understand your logic

He did earn it. Good for him. I'm no LOH, but he wouldn't have been a good fit in Houston, so I'm glad he is going to another team.

Haha, I like Lin. But I highly doubt he's winning anything in Brooklyn.

Who knows though, I could be wrong.

Two teams met with him, and he chose the one he had the relationship and trust with the head coach. Not sure why that's "all about him".

And $36M is Zuckerburg's monthly real estate tax bill, so still a ways to go..

dude you are a LOF, explaining this to you from a normal human's perspective is impossible.

I get it , your job as a LOF is to justify everything Lin does as gold. Even he takes a dump, that could fertilize orchards in china.

he's jumping from team to team, therefore his interest is not in loyalty to a team or city.

he's not an elite player so therefore he doesn't have the luxury to do that. but congrats to him for getting paid.

The Nets bbs probably will have double the amount of members now, too bad the number of real Nets fans stays the same.

I agree its smart to turn down a 3yr/36 million contract with the possibility of starting, along with playing in a good market that will increase his brand value.

No person in the right mind would accept that.

And for the record, I don't even like Lin.
