My favorite is when someone has a good game that has been here for 4+ years so their "so and so drafted in the x round" thread gets bumped lol
The mainstream media will only change their tune if Clowney either has a breakout game on national TV against an good opponent (missed his chance against NE, has another shot against DEN) or he puts up full season of good play.
not true. which elite team has oakland taken down since that draft? it's more to do with the narrative they had on clowney from the beginning, they jump in on it and will be stubborn to accept that clowney is a heck of player, even went as far as creating that lame story that mack was the superior player because he worked harder than clowney. Omitting the microfracture surgery, one of the most difficult surgeries to come back from.
The guy is an absolute beast, and has become the leader of this defense. You can even see it in his after-play celebrations. The rest of the defense rallies around him.
So random thought; if you could redraft the 2014 class, where would Clowney go? I don't think he goes in the top 10 or 15
Just like 2011 draft.......... I doubt JJ goes 11th. You win some you lose some. This hindsight game with Carr and Clowney is getting old. That being said, I think Clowney goes to the first 4-3 defense on the board.
Mega-beast against the run Raiders couldn't run do anything on the ground. OAK was ranked #2 in yards/attempt before MNF, then ran for a puny 1.5 vs HOU. Credit to the front-7, but especially Clowney and, of course, Crennel.
