morey gave lin alway for free and even threw in a 1st round draft pick to LA so we can get Bosh or Melo. We got zip for lin. Nice to know we have Bev and Jet as our PGs now.
Very good observation and analysis from the limited watching time. Lin always drives with purpose to create mismatch or draw double team.
Mchale and his coaches definitely did not allow lin to succeed in Htown...they choose Harden and slowing reduced lin's role. Lin and Harden needs the ball. Harden is the better and a MVP level player. So, I can understand their decision now, but this messed with lin's confidence and growth.[/QUOTE] Wait this is the same Harden that doesnt make his teammates better and doesnt play both ways (defensive black hole). You still living in the past? You do realize they are blowing up the Rockets to find pieces that will fit with Harden this off-season.
Wasn't he the guy who even on his beach resort vacation took the time out to participate in this meaningful sport of fighting evil sports fans? Or was it ftw? Anyways, maybe the vacation this time around is so good that can make one forget life's troubles in the meantime. I wonder what that place can be that a beach resort cannot do.
He doesn't seem to jump in the air with no plan anymore. Granted, I've only watched parts of a few Hornets games, but I haven't seen it. Now if he jumps, he has a floater or he throws it to an open teammate. His defense also seems more solid.
It's funny, if that were to happen, then we would have had a head to head of Lin v Dragic and Lin v Lowry in the same playoffs and those are the guys he is most frequently compared to as fellow ex-Rockets. After last night, I still think Lin has outplayed Dragic in this series. Would be fun to watch the Lin/Walker v. Lowry/DeRozan matchup happen now that the Rockets are out. Like some of the other posters, now that the Rockets are out, I'm reduced to rooting(or at least watching) for ex-Rockets.
You need a good coach that can strategize with the good character guys who will buy in. If you have coaches that just listens to Morey and have no real strategy going in... these good character guys will just listen and perform mediocre because they don't dominate the game.
I guess there are only ~10% of Lin fans who thought Lin is/was superstar. The situation of Lin fans calling their idol a superstar is overstated. This is false opinion cuz he has kept his dribble tight all season thanks to learning from street balla "The Professor" last summer and he has lowered his TO% while keep driving aggressively. Although he still can not shoot much better than his time for the Knicks but that's not like he can't shoot. This is another overstated comment. And he has only one speed?!? You must have not been following his games closely enough since his Rockets days. He has been learning form Stephen Nash ever since he created Linsanity... in the past two years he played much slower pace on the court but still managed to contribute for his team big time.
As a PG, Lin's handle has changed from dead bottom to subpar, thanks to "The Professor". Handles is something you can't improve significantly as a pro. At least he is no longer terrible.
