Can you believe it with all the injuries and the adversity starting with trading away players only to not get Chris Bosh at the last minute. SOUTHWEST DIVISION CHAMPIONS! Over the defending champion Spurs, Memphis, and Dallas (all three were picked by experts to finish ahead of us). What a job by Morey to recover from the shocking Bosh rejection to retool the team with veterans and defensive players to actually improve the team from last year when it looked pretty bleak. Zach Lowe has said many times recently the Rockets maintaining top defensive level play without Dwight Howard is one of the best and surprising stories in the NBA. What a spectacular season by James Harden -- the one player who seemed to have escaped the injury bug all year who carried us all season to wins with his scoring, passing, and improved defense. It'll be a shame if he doesn't win MVP. Before the GARM inevitably gets ugly in the playoffs, let's take a moment to appreciate the division champions that nobody (even the ones wearing red tinted goggles) expected .
If you would have told me the kind of injuries we would have at the beginning of the season I would never have thought we would win 56 games. It took an MVP worthy season, but we did. Go Rockets
We are division champs. Holy ****. After that horrendous off-season, everyone doubted us. Hell, I doubted us. But we did it.
Fire McHale! Seriously though, this has been a great day in Rockets history. Let's kick some playoff ass and make it a great YEAR in Rockets history.
Short answer... NO But he may get some more supporters to not get fired as our coach. McHale has 99 lives as a coach of the Rockets. What an amazing season considering all the injuries and adversity!
