I would say so. He will most likely need to play PF, IMO. Whether as a SF or a PF, he will need seasoning in the D League. I gotta think he wasn't drafted because his BBIQ just wasn't good enough to handle NBA defensive assignments.

Ed Daniel was another one of the top rebounders in college this last season. I believe he was 3rd place behind Andre Roberson.

I don't get why Jackie Carmichael's name isn't up anywhere. I was surprised he didn't get drafted. But he's still not mentioned among signings either. I do not compute this. He was ranked pretty high in mocks, and he seems like a very nice role player.
I thought that a team like the Suns that needs to add some toughness to their culture would be all over him by now...
Brandon Davies will be playing on Clippers' SL squad. Khalif Wyatt to the Sixers. Lakers, Warriors, Sixers all in mix for James Southerland. Seth Curry invited by Bobcats, but still recovering from leg surgery. No Vander Blue, Mark Lyons, Kenny Boynton...just off the top. Lyons isn't even showing up on folks' lists of undrafted players in some places. Has he been blacklisted for some reason? I'd think 24 ppg at Arizona could get you a look.
24 PPG in an entire season at Arizona would get you a look, but Lyons only averaged 15.6 PPG at Arizona. He averaged 24 a game in 3 tournament games, not for the season.
That tells you that the Rockets don't really have any real spots open for rookies besides the scoring machine Canaan...
