Maybe I'm blind, but I haven't found a thread to discuss the games in the tournament (rather than just joining the bracket), and we're starting up in the morning Lots of games tomorrow. I'm looking forward to Butler/Bucknell, St. Mary's/Memphis, Davidson/Marquette, Belmont/Arizona, and Colorado St/Mizzou the most Who's gonna be this year's Szcerbiak, Morrison, Steph Curry, etc?
It amazes me the lack of interest in college hoops in Houston. Lots of great games coming up. There's so much parity in college ball right now. A lot of these games are going to be coming down to the wire. Watch out for Tony Snell of New Mexico. Yeah, that's my alma mater and I'm a total homer, but the guy is just coming into his own. If he's hitting his shots, the Lobos are a very dangerous team. Snell's a 6'7" SG with long arms and a beautiful shot. His length really bothers opponents when on defense too. His shot is a thing of beauty to watch.
Who's the first number 1 seed to go down? My money is on Kansas I think they'll collapse in their second game or sweet sixteen per usual
It's kind of a ClutchFans tradition that the Bracket Contest thread in the Hangout winds up becoming the games thread too. Weird, I know, but there's definitely plenty of people talking about the tourney usually, just in the wrong forum.
Ugh I have Pittsburgh going far in a lot of brackets. Hopefully they can come back. This game is painful to watch though.
Ha, I'm sure I've done it before then. Not sure we had quite-as-active subforums before though so I'll post here and let mods decide if this should be merged or not
My upset pick - St. Mary's over Memphis because the Memphis Tigers play in a weak conference and they have a history of missing key free throws in big games (Darius Washington missed 2 free throws in the 2005 Conference USA Finals and the 2008 National Championship where they lost to KU Jayhawks).
Well, I'm glad that at least the Oregon-Oklahoma State game is going according to plan. Marcus Smart is meh.
