The University of Miami has consistently produced some major NFL talent... despite only really contending for one national chamionship in the last 23 years.
I watched nearly all of Clemson's games for 3 years and said here that Sammy and DeAndre were the best pair of WRs college FB had seen in quite some time. Nobody agreed. One person replied Lee and Woods on USC were better. LOL!
If the Texans had to do the draft again??? Would they have considered trading Andre Johnson to a contending team for a 3rd or 4th round pick (I was thinking the Pats, for Ryan Mallet and a 3rd OR 4th round pick). Drafted Sammy Watkins #1 overall. Then drafted Derek Carr with 2-1??? A young WR core of Watkins and Hopkins wouldve been sick... Was hoping a combo of JJ and Clowney wouldve achieved the same dynamic principle on defense. However, it has been a total let down with Clowney getting injured in game 1 of this year. Things could be better next year for Clowney...but the thought of continuing this Clemson tandem in the NFL wouldve been amazing and rare...
The '11 squad had those three plus Andre Ellington at RB and Dwayne Allen at TE. Clemson has become an NFL factory.
And folks wonder how Taj Boyd didn't pan out.. Brian Scalabrine could've been a College all star with that WR core.
