My picks (which I may change later today after some thought)- Top movie: Cars 2 Followed by: Pirates 4, Transformers 3, Twilight 3, Strong Showings: Captain America, Thor, Kung Fu Panda 2, Paranormal Activity 3, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Flops: Green Hornet, Green Lantern, Mission Impossible 4 Dark Horses (will preform better than anticipated): Fast Five, Battle: Los Angeles, Super 8
I think Transformers 3 will disappoint. Green Hornet will perform stronger than expected. and Captain America will flop badly.
Strange. I haven't seen any of these films, less heard of most of them either. I must be out of the loop this year.
I dunno about Cars 2. It'll make money, but will it surpass what Toy Story 3 did? Wasn't the original Cars, it and Ratatouille (which I liked), two of the lower performing Pixar films? Twilight and Harry Potter will absolutely rule the box office. Transformers and Cars 2 will make their money. Pirates I think will under-perform compared to the other 3 but will do pretty good business. Green Hornet will perform modestly because of the good trailers, but won't be a huge hit. (it's in the January wasteland). Green Lantern and Thor will flop. Super 8 and Cowboys and Aliens will be the sleeper hits.
Blockbusters obviously: Harry Potter PII Pirates of The Caribbean 4 Kung Fu Panda 2 Cars 2 Dark Horse: Super 8 Battle: Los Angeles X-Men: First Class Flop: Cowboys and Aliens Conan 3D Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage The Green Hornet Thor Captain America The Beaver Sucker Punch(even though I like it)
Hangover 2, twilight, & Harry potter will bring in a lotta $$$$ Darkhorse:Harold and Kumar Xmas I just wanna see hangover and Harold and kumar
Tree of Life (Terrence Malick) /thread. of wait... The Descendants (Alexander Payne) The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (US) (David Fincher) Hugo Cabret (Martin Scorsese) Contagion (Steven Soderbergh) Haywire (Steven Soderbergh) Super 8 (J.J. Abrams)
I think these movies will take the most money: Hangover 2 Harry Potter Part 2 Transformers 3 Twilight 3 Pirates of the Caribbean 4
no predictions. just wanna watch these when it come out. Beastly Battle: Los Angeles Hangover 2 Harold and Kumar Xmas
