Not to worry, this is just an anti jinx thread to counter that other thread about the coming win streak.
Did anyone expect the Rockets to go anywhere when they are jacking up nothing but 3's and no D?. This team is mediocre.
I ain't scared. We had one of the toughest schedules to start the season. We were supposed to be in a hole now, not 13-7. We've played 20 games but only 6 have been at home. Our schedule gets easier as we go and our team is going to get more and more comfortable playing together. Barring injury everything looks like blue skies to me.
1. turnovers 2. No Defense - they just try to score more points than other team. THIS IS NOT CHAMPIONSHIP BALL
Given that all the talent is soaked into one team, I think they are a .500 team that will play .600 ball just because everyone else is in the same boat, except we have an MVP on our team.
I don't disagree with this. But they're working on those things and making progress and the effort and the quickness of their learning is pretty remarkable. Our biggest problem with defense in recent years has been Harden's failure to make the effort on that side. He's doing it now. Everyone is playing hard because they're having fun playing together and chemistry is fantastic. This is a new roster with a new coach, a lot of new rotation players, and new offensive and defensive systems. It's going to take more than 20 games for them to fix everything. Still they're finding ways to win with maybe the toughest schedule to start the year. I don't see how one could watch this team play and say "They're not getting better." The hustle is greater than we've had in forever and they're mostly smart players. They'll only get better the longer they play together.
