Really? Recent threads proposed trading Harden and another proposed trading Howard. IMO that makes them more than just too critical.

Comparing Bill and Clyde to the Insde the NBA staff in an insult to Inside the NBA. Bill and Clyde don't make the game fun. If anything they misinform viewers and if I had a child learning the game of basketball the last people I'd let him listen to are probably Bill and Clyde.

They are way too homerific. I mean call the game. The refs aren't out to get the rockets.

Did anyone hear the Grizzlies announcers a couple weeks ago? Now they're homers.

    Clyde cracks me up.

Bill cracks me up. Once he mocked the Bucks announcers in saying he doesn't know how they do it with these names, and then tried doing it and it was absolutely golden.

I'm not directly comparing Bill and Bull to Inside the NBA. I'm saying what you find to be unprofessional others find endearing.

And neither Bull or Clyde analyze the game in a way that would make any difference to somebody learning the game. It's very basic analysis.

Nobody is going to learn or not learn how to play basketball from listening to the Rockets announcers. That is a silly argument.

    Ridiculous.

There may be a lot of valid reasons why someone doesn't like our guys...each to his own... but to say they would not allow a child to listen to them because it would hamper their development is not one of them.

    What a homer-erotic thread.

God Bless the Homers!!! I fell in love with Rockets basketball listening to Gene Peterson and Bill Foley on the radio back in the early days before they had Rockets games on TV. For Rockets TV broadcasts, give me the 3 biggest homers you can find and I'm a happy guy. I for one could care less about the objectivity of our announcers. If I want objectivity, I'll watch Judge Judy.

I'm shocked one of your reasons wasn't: "They're better than the worst homers in the league: San Antonio".

Clyde needs to be pushed out or told he's traveling with the team. Consistency does matter.

Listen to Blazer announcers for 30 seconds, you'll miss Clyde rather quickly. Everything Lillard does is great, any missed shot is due to football like contact, Lillard never flops, oh, and if your best player is approaching free agency the Blazers are his top pick during the offseason regardless of need or cap availability. Also, apparently Harden flops more than Lillard does.

Bill had a line that had me rolling a week or so ago. It went something along the lines of "James Harden said you guys can all be pretenders, and I'll be the one who makes it!" or something like that.

I think the Bull's Eye segments are pretty good for this.

    Appreciate the effort, but...

#1 and 2 could be lumped into the same category. As could #5-7. Clyde is the worst of the three, so if that is what being a star means, I'd gladly trade for a "knowledgeable non-star."

I do like that they don't try to push catchphrases like LAC's "Bingo!" or CHI's "Drive home safe, Chicago! Beep beep." after games. Breen and Jackson on ESPN have good catchphrases, but it just doesn't work for me on a local level.
