Positive isn't always a good thing, look at HIV for reference.

Hired a staffer for $89,000 to find positive news... gee, I do that for free. :D

Trump bashes the media but still loves good press
The White House pays a staffer $89,000 a year to spot and distribute positive stories from the mainstream media.

On the day DPRK has been freaked out by random Trump tweets and pre-emptively wipes out San Francisco (and your humble narrator), it's going to be extra-funny when Two Scoops gets his morning dose of positive news.

"the folders are filled with screenshots of positive cable news chyrons...and sometimes just pictures of Trump on TV looking powerful."

This reminds me of when everyone went around the table telling Trump how great he and his administration are.

From the Trump-proofing of the G20 conference...

There was also talk of how mentioning his name repeatedly can keep him reading a memo.

That's what made the trip to Saudi Arabia so horrifying. They put on a good show and give him a fun time and a major crux of US policy towards the Gulf (namely keeping Qatar and Saudi from butting heads) gets reversed. Saudi Arabia played him like a fiddle because they played into his ego.

Seems JUST what Spicer and Priebus were doing with their idea of the good news folder (to save their jobs). Play to Trump's desire for flattery, it seems to be the charm. It wouldnt have become an idea if it WASNT an obvious element of how Trump is

you would have to send him that tremendous beautifully flamed whopper. Let me tell you guys about whoppers, they've gotten smaller over the years but are still better than big macs, though both are commoner fast foods.
