You are correct, the bench scored 5 points specifically Austin Rivers scored 5 points Nobody really gave Capela a rest. He's playing sick with a virus.
Well you know our bench had 5 points and only 2 people really came off the bench, Rivers and House. Capela was playing sick and he could have had a little more rest. The Jazz changed their defense , those were not open shots, they were contested. PJ Tucker's 3 was not open he was contested
Then he should start Faried and have him rotate with Nene. Playing a sick Capela is just messing us over.
There were rumblings with harden struggling and pulling out a win during game 3. But ya I get u these guys only come out full force when we lose a game.
I saw the Rockets miss a lot of very makeable 3 point shots in the 4th quarter. I also saw them turn the baller over in sloppy ways/
You know coaches have been fired here Rick Adelman - wanted higher pay, owner lowballed him Jeff Van Gundy - offense was too slow McHale - relationship problems with Harden So if you believe that D'Antoni is untouchable , you are wrong We lost last year because of two things, Chris Paul's injury and Mike D'Antoni's refusal to call time out and make adjustments in Game 7 against the Warriors
Then I have no clue why he's even playing Capela. It's just going to make Capela more sick throughout the playoffs. We could have afforded to rest Capela tonight and still been okay. It was quite obvious that playing Capela tonight cost us.
Definitely. Most of the 3pt attempts they missed were really wide open.... which they would normally hit. The Jazz give us those shots again and we win the game comfortably.... which why I'm not worried about the next game.
I think we'll win the series, I'm just worried we'll make the same coaching mistakes in later rounds. Cause that's what doomed us last year, remember? we had the lead. at home. could have used some clock, called timeouts to slow the other team down. you know.
Then this loss is clearly on MDA. You can't play key players with a bad virus when we're 3-0 up in the series. It could also hurt us in the long run. Rest him and rotate Nene and Faried. It doesn't give your bench players any confidence if you're starting a very sick player over the other guys.
To be honest, I didn't want us to play the Jazz in the playoffs. They're a very good defensive side, who was in very good form before the playoffs. The Rockets always struggle against these physical, defensive sides. I'm just happy we're 3-1 up with us playing at home next game.
If Capela had two viruses, he should have not played and not over work him . We will win this series, but health is important in the playoffs.
I agree. Which is why this loss is on MDA. Surely starting Faried and rotating him with Nene would have been a much better option than starting a very sick Capela? I honestly believe Faried would have been more of a threat to them.
worst case scenario is that Capela is still sick cause he didn't rest and was playing a nba playoff game. if he's sick for two playoff games, that's on MDA
