Don't believe everything you see/read on the internet.. if it didn't come directly from them or any of the team mates, i wouldn't believe or read too much into it.

You are such a troll. I have been lurking this site for a long time, and I don't know if I have ever seen a legitimate post from you. It is always some facetious smart-ass comment. You add absolutely nothing of value to theses threads, unless someone is just trying to learn how to be an effective troll.

You cannot Force guys into things that they are not . . personality wise

Weisbrod kind of ruined Steve Francis
Cause he traded Cuttino to FORCE STEVIE to be his own man
it just wasn't in him . . .and Steve crumbled from there

Ironically, it was similar with McGrady. Trying to force him into a leadership position that his personality isnt geared for.

When "Jet" like vets like David Wesley, Jon Barry, Bob Sura and Mike James joined the team in '05, it allowed McGrady (and Yao) to focus more on just playing rather than guiding the team spiritually. It was maybe McGrady's best time as a Rocket before injuries took its toll.

Its saying that leadership matters even if its a "wasted" roster spot to get it

To be fair, they weren't expecting mcgrady to be the sole leader in Orlando, people often forget that Grant Hill was supposed to be the alpha dog before injuries derailed him.

Morey found this out about Tmac pretty quickly. Morey loaded the 2008-09 team with leaders to compensate for Tmac's lack of leadership personality. Deke, Scola, Artest*, Lowry, Battier, Chuck, Brent Barry were all leaders on that team. I still believe if Yao and Tmac were healthy that was a championship squad.

God looking at the lineup makes me sad. Agreed about the championship comment. So loaded, if it weren't for the injuries. :(

Well I always hated Terry when he was on another team but he a Rocket now so he is one of my favorite players on this team cause I know everyone else hates him... I would hate him again if he was with the Pels so this is good for my karma.

I was amazed at Ron Artest's ability to lead

It made me think that we NEEDED A CRAZY person
because He, JSmoove, Mad Max are those dudes
that every team seems to need
