I think both the Cavs and the Hawks are capable of pulling out wins. GSW is the favorite, but no team is so far behind that they should be written off.

Cavs can beat the Warriors, can't beat the Rockets.

    No answer for Dwight.

Not a fan of adding games though. Regular season is too long already. Cutting the amount of games would make the reg season more competitive too. Play each opponent twice and thats a 58 game regular season.

Figure our a way to add some games, say 65 or 66 for each team, and you would have a great product year round.

Ridiculous. Warriors are great. Even if the Rockets pull out the amazing come back win, the Warriors are ridiculously good.

Both the Warriors and Rockets "should" beat the Cavs. No Love. Not been tested in any real way.

It's such an inferior brand of basketball out east, it's embarrassing. I only watch bits and pieces, cause it's so boring... it's like watching college basketball, then switching to the NBA Eastern division, then the Western division.

Does this invalidate my point if the Cavs win it all? No... it would just further point to the stupidity of the conferences. Cavs in the west would have likely lost by now, and not even be talking about this. They'd have been a 5-8 seed, and never had home court..

58 is too big of a step back. they need to make $$, man.

take the meaningless preseason games out, then the load is about the same.

Anyone can win it this year. Even the Hawks.

I know it's a Houston board, but I'm surprised how much you guys are taking the ECF teams for granted. I personally think it's GSW and then the Rockets/Cavs kind of the next tier, and then Hawks another small notch below. But I think anyone is capable of pulling an upset.

And it doesn't make sense just because they play in the East they are automatically worse off. If this Rockets team played in the East this season are they suddenly a worse team overall?

Of course not. They are worse because they are worse. Doesn't matter if it's East or West. I have watched all of eastern second round and a good part of the first and I can tell with certainty that the Rockets would win the Cavs team even with Kyrie. Now that he is in a horrible state and can't move hobbling up and down the court even more so.
The Hawks on the other hand have been playing bad basketball. They played much better in the regular season.

If the Cavs can take game 2, Irving can rest for game 3. Hell, even LeBron can rest for a half or so, if he's also somewhat injured.

The Carroll injury is really the key here. Despite being a team-first no-superstar team, ATL absolutely NEEDS Carroll.

No doubt. That's what makes these first two games so painful.

Not even sure Cavs are gonna make the finals. Either way the Western Conference team will be 80-20 favorites in the finals.

The Warriors will crash both Cavs & Hawks. The Rockets has a chance against Hawks, but cannot beat the Cavs. James will stop Harden, and Howard is not a threat on the offensive end.

Carrol is day to day and doesn't have acl. The Cavs don't have the luxury to rest Kyrie and Lebron much or they will lose. Don't underestimate the Hawks.
Besides Kyrie's injury requires extended rest not just 3 days rest.
He already had 5 days rest before the beginning of this series and he looks even worse on the court.

I still think the Championship is still up for grabs. I would say the Warriors are the favorites but they are definitely beatable.

My only wish was that the last 4 teams left had all their players healthy. It would make for some amazing Conferences and eventually Nba Finals.

What's crazy is that our biggest hurdle is GSW. We get pass these guys and we win our 3rd championship. UGH and to think we could have been up 2-0 now.

Yes. I love Lebron, but I don't think the Cavs are overall good enough this year
