The Rockets do that a lot, especially on the road. But without Harden, it's tough to make plays. D-Mo and T-Jones can get you baskets, but they're not the kind of players who you can throw the ball to and expect to get 2 points(especially if they're fouled as we saw late in the game).

NBA these days have very much reminded me of what has happened to Boxing. The league makes more money off their narratives and you will see badly reffed games time and time again. All the while, players, coaches, and anouncers alike fined for complaining about refs and calls. This game and the last game has been laughable. Eventually, the truth will come out.

The refs were HORRIBLE but come on ....they are NOT the reason we lost. The 4th quarter play was laughable. DMO in particular could have gone to take a dump and would have never been missed.

I actually think DMo is that type of player and I wanted to see the rockets go to him in the post. They need to learn how to get him the ball correctly and DMo needs to do a better job of keeping his man sealed.

Did you watch Prigs in the first half? The Hawks throw at hard Hedge at every pick and roll and sag off the corner to spy the roller. The only offense off of the PnR was when they made a skip pass to the corner and drive from that angle.

It is what it is. Teams that double the roller are tougher to create offense from that set.

The Hawks realized that more often than not, without Harden, the rockets weren't going to get a call on a drive so they basically played a college style box and one on D and completely denied the drive.

It just goes to show how important Harden is creating off the dribble in traffic.

Why doesn't Mchale play KJ? This would've been the perfect game to come out and play some D

Well, the first thing is that in order to receive the ball in the post, you must be IN the post...not standing out on the 3 pt. line.

We need a pick and pop shooter. Or Prigs (or any ball-handler) should hit that jumper to force ATL to guard him.

no d12 or harden yet pretty much dominated the game.

reasons for being "ok" with this loss

Shows everybody that Harden is the MVP, w/o him we are nothing.

You know Terry is the most upset about this game and will use it to educate this team

    Playoff style basketball

Nah! Mchale doesn't like rookies...This would've been the perfect game for Nick Johnson or McDaniels.

That's our offense. But tonight we had more of an opportunity to go inside since we weren't taking the ball out of hardens hands. Mchale should have made this a focal point.

When are people going to realize that Houston does not play rookies. You earn time, you are not given it

Ha...well that's our offense...O.K. ...we lead by 15 with 10 and 1/2 left and lose by what 6 or 7?

If Bev is not hitting his shot or being effective on the defensive end, he doesn't need to be out there. Something tells me Prigioni could have helped the ball movement and gotten the team some better shots down the stretch.

Referees took the game over in the fourth and ensured the hawks got the victory. I think they had called 2 fouls on them midway through the fourth quarter. It was a couple bogus calls at very crucial moments that turned the tide. Its a real problem in the NBA, officials no a call they make can get the crowd hyped up and they feed off the energy on a call. Home cooking is just a lot of bull **** and shouldn't be tolerated.

Seriously that was ridiculous, wtf kind of T was that, basically just giving the hawks an extra point to help them with thier rally.

Why the **** would he play those two? Terry was hot and beverly was playing fine until he decided to take stupid fouls at the end.

Some of you just want to disagree to disagree with Mchale.

    Im not angry anymore.

1/2 a bottle of wine and a late italian dinner have stilled my rage.

That being said, i still think we were robbed. Seriously.

Gj team, not really mad at the late timidity and bad shot-selection... I honestly think after enough BS youre going to lose your edge. Well, especially without your 2 best players.

It is what it is. Done. Jobbed. Oh well.
