And we were shocked Riley gave Bosh the max. Why not go all in.... he's committed too much to NOT rebuilding already. He's delusional, but obviously feels they can compete in the East, especially by adding Dragic. I disagree, but if he's truly offering the two firsts, that's where he'll end up I'd think.
Maybe the 5th year could mean something when the Lakers or whoever are trying to sign him. Maybe a sign and trade if he's not willing to resign with Houston?

Posturing. If Miami had done that the trade would already have happened. Chris Broussard is a peon. As in, NBA GMs peon him when they want to leak a fabricated story.
So does that mean the two draft picks could be their 2017 and 2019 1st round picks at best? (IF that offer is even really true!)
If Miami gives up 2 first round picks and signs Dragic to a 5 year contract, they are well on their way to becoming the new Brooklyn.
Your offer shrinks incredibly because who are you bidding against? Maybe Miami? Either they keep him and dare him to walk or they trade him.
My thoughts as well...the rental price is significantly less - maybe a future 2nd rounder + players to make the deal work.
Seems increasingly that we are bidding on a rental. Why would we go ALL in to bail out Phoenix and then lose him in the offseason? We'd be giving away good money to be in Phoenix's boat come July.
