Corey Brewer Traded to the Rockets

I'm not as up on basketball as I used to be. So, I'm not all that familiar with Corey Brewer and his game. Then it dawned on me: he played on that Florida U team that won the NCAA championships back to back under coach Donovan. I loved that team. Noah, Horford and Corey Brewer were the big three talents. Now I am glad he's in Houston, so I can catch up on his career.

I really really really like this move. Great pickup by Morey...we practically gave up nothing. Once TJ and Papa come back we'll be solid for depth.

 

I like this move. I have been critical of Morey but this is good. No more Garcia and Johnson can hopefully go back to the D-League.

Who knows about Schved? I have always thought he looked solid but he seems to have more value as a contract.

 

actually i see shved as the guy going out in a bigger trade at the deadline.

morey got this trade done today because he has the ability to move brewer and shved again before the deadline. i have to believe one of them will be the one to go.

between the two, i think we keep the guy with championship experience. brewer will give us the same thing that ariza and terry have given us all season. there is no substitute for championship experience.

shved is also semi-redundant to terry. i think he plus younger guys like johnson and capela, plus picks could get the deal done for dragic.

Brewer is here for the championship run, shved will be wearing a Suns uniform before the trade deadline, morey is usually thinking five moves ahead, wouldn't suprise me if he has already spoken to them about it. Would love to get him in sooner rather than later to build chemistry. My one draw here is, and I know this isn't popular opinion, I would love for dragic to come off the bench. Give us that Crawford type option in the playoffs. Plus it keeps him or harden on the court for 48 minutes hoepfully
