I'm sure BasketballHollic will make a compelling case that Drummond is secretly a knock down 3 point shooter that can play beside Dwight.
I've got a lot of question marks about Drummond. Great physical talent. Don't know if the heart and brain is there. And frankly, I can't stand the thought of having not one, but two sub-50% FT shooters on this team.
Drummond makes a lot more sense as an asset (a means to an end) than as a fit into the Rockets system.
I wholeheartedly disagree. This early in the regular season, we have certainly overachieved. But in the playoffs, you need quality depth. I don't necessarily think we need a star, but we need some more reliable bench players, especially backing up Howard. I don't think they can do the job in the playoffs. But I agree, there is no rush, nor is their a need to throw away talent in a desperate attempt to upgrade. We're a really good team despite our depth issues because we have bought into the system. That only goes so far in the playoffs though. Talent supersedes everything else.
I got it. Pieces are falling together eventually. Dwight has been kept out because of trade talks. He is about to be dealt folks. 3 team trade. Rockets In: Dragic, Drummond, some PF Rockets Out: Dwight Phoenix Out: Dragic Phoenix In: 2015 Detroit 1st Detroit Out: Drummond, some PF, 2015 1st Detroit In: Dwight Rockets going back to run and gun game. Dwight reunites with SVG
Even if we took on J-Smoove and gave all of our assets... I can't imagine the Pistons trading their one glimmer of hope. What the heck would we do with Dre, J-Smoove, and Dwight too?
oh lord. make it stop. please make it stop. fake insiders regurgitating information to other fake insiders.... from drew to bballdoofus, to plowed man.
I think the Lakers are going to make a big push for Rondo. Baxter Holmes suggested they could get him for 2 1sts and Nash's expiring deal.
"We are not going to make any trades this season. But just in case we do, we'll acknowledge that we could possibly make a trade but no one guessed the exact date, time, and players involved in the trade." - studdud
Seems like an odd fit, Rondo is almost completely worthless without the ball in his hands and Kobe is a ball hog. At the least it should make for some fun comedy.
That deal would put Boston in position to end up with two really good lottery picks and one other first round pick in next years draft. I think I'd give up Rondo for that...
