Stupid phone. Asik isn't officially gone, nor is parsons. All we've done is lose a first rounder for getting rid of Lin and his ridiculous 15M salary which may give us the flexibility (luxury tax wise) to assemble a different bench.
If it wasn't for Donnie Walsh, the Knicks post-2000 would be an even bigger laughingstock around the league, more so than the Clippers ever were. The difference in ownership alone keeps the Rockets from ever approaching New York levels of inadequacy. Beverley and hype is an oxymoron. We do still have McHale, which sucks, I'll give you that. How have we gutted the team? (assuming we match Parsons) Asik and Lin were gone with or without landing Bosh, that should have been apparent.
Why is he laughing? Because he just got traded to a 30-35 win team at best. The Rockets made him rich but they didnt feel like he was in their long term plans. If you had been following the NBA more than 3 years you would know this.
I used to come to this site daily. It has been much unbearable the last two years. I will now be back a lot more often.
Harden is the best player at his position. Doesn't matter who the next best is. Also isn't not based on sole position. It was the top 2 guards. So yes harden is a superstar.
Well, we used half of that cap room created by the Lin/Asik deals for Ariza. Not bad. Lets see where the rest goes.

They are problem contracts that were created and engineered by the Rockets through Morey. Random observation.
They were only problem contracts because we finally landed true superstars who duplicated Asik and Lins skill sets. If we never land Harden or Howard we wouldn't have the ceiling we now have, but I think we for sure wouldn't look back on the Lin and Asik deals as problems.
