If he's a Rocket, vote for him. It's all fan service anyways.

I agree. There should be a minimum number of games played requirement.

Kobe and CP3 will be voted in by fans.

The rest doesn't matter so don't sweet it. Only the top 2 gets voted in.

Harden will be voted in by the coaches.

Some people get way too worked up over fan voting.

Kobe has 723,031 votes and hasn't played pretty much the whole season.

    Ditto for Rondo, Rose, Nash...

This is his 4th year in the NBA. He has never once been voted in as an all star.

Who cares how many votes he gets when he finishes 4th or 5th or whatever. It's all meaningless since he isn't top 2 in the four years he's in the league.

Lin is popular but he is good too.

Guess what Tim Tebow, who isn't good and not playing, would get voted in as the best QB in football if fans decided

Exactly.. it's a combination of popularity + game. For every player. There has never been a scrub all-star.

If that is the case, why not Jeremy Lin? It is not that his play is that far off from the perennial all stars. At least he is playing healthy, LOL. If Asik can get almost 80,000 votes for not playing and not showing the desire to compete, Lin definitely deserves 4 times that. He just shuts down perennial all star Parker and Final MVP, then Conley another all star and got us 2 wins in b2b games. He looked totally gassed and exhausted. Yet he still competes at a high level. He deserves his votes.

Westbrook had knee surgery so he is out of the ASG. Lin needs to keep playing well and he can get his first all star nod.

DarnellMayberry: Russell Westbrook underwent scope surgery on his knee today to address recent swelling. He's expected back post All-Star break. More coming.

Just too bad. I don't like Westbrook's arrogance but I like his plays and he rightfully deserves on top of JLin and everybody else in the West except CP3. Hate to see great young talents in NBA who are potential HOF players and see their brilliant careers jeopardized like this. First Oden, Roy, then Rose, now Westbrook.

I think it's possible especially with the Westbrook news.

you are not a real clutchfan.

It is perfectly fine if you don't want to vote for Jeremy Lin, but you cannot dictate what others should do.

if he's not in the top 2, it won't happen for jeremy. the coaches will not vote him in because he doesn't deserve it. its all a moot point. paul and kobe will be voted as the starters. the coaches will pick curry, harden, parker, and westbrook as backups. since kobe and westbrook can't play they coaches will choose injury replacements, lillard and dirk most likely. jeremy's only chance is to get into the top 2, or actually play well enough to deserve it.

Paul, Curry, Harden, Parker and Lillard are more deserving. The is almost no chance the coaches will vote him in, unless he averages like 20 a game from not until the ASG.

Damian no. Parker yes. I don't think it is as farfetched as you think coaches voting Lin in. And if he was it wouldn't be some eggregious mistake on the coaches part. Lin has been playing way better than Linsanity and during Linsanity he was playing at an all star level.

Have I entered The Twilight Zone? Absurdity has reached new heights here. I'm a fan of Jeremy's, but he doesn't deserve to be in any conversation about the All Star Game, unless it's talking about some possible selection in the future, after he's become a hell of a lot better, and a hell of a lot more consistent.

Get off your emotional high horse. Lin would be embarrassed to get voted in as a starter.

Look it's a guy on the internet pretending to know how Jeremy Lin would feel about something.
