Because Scola doesn't jump, so he never fell for the pump fake.

I just hate the play where he backed up Francisco garcia, missed then got a foul call for him. Garcia did absolutely nothing to initiate the contact except try to hold his ground. Calling a foul there tells us that when an offensive player tries to back you up you must just give him space and hope he misses. That's ridiculous. One of the worst things about the NBA, the foul calling. It's bull**** on both sides. If your an offensive player and you initiate contact, you should NOT get free throws. If your on defense and you slide right in front of someone to initiate contact, you should NOT get a call.

They showed that play on the big screen at TC tonight an as we all boo'd and groaned, the ref's wouldn't even glance up at it or acknowledge it. Pathetic. They had a number of non-contact fouls the ref's gave them.

They also reviewed Carter's 3 pointer way after the play happened right? What is that about?

The Carter three have to have been reviewed at the next dead ball where a timeout was taken, and it was.

Thanks for explaining. All the folks sitting in my area were wondering where the heck that came from b/c it seemed like ages ago.

Once upon a time Dirk was triple threat guy. Nowadays you make him beat you off the dribble, but McHale wanted Jones to play him off the ball. McHale coach of the year obviously!

I thought that Jones should've been on Dirk in the 4th. Was he shutting Dirk down? No. But at least he could've made Dirk have to shoot over him more and he can block a shot once in a while. Garcia was just looking up at Dirk as he took shot after shot.

We can agree to take back his contract as a part of the Kevin Love package, no?

Jame Singleton used to shut Dirk down, even though he's only 6'8", but he had active hands and can jump out of the gym. [IMG]
