sorry but harden doesnt have a post game yet nor plays defense.

if kobe comes back and is still somewhat resembles kobe, harden is relegated to 2nd until he gets a post game and guards somebody on defense instead of drifting around in the paint and leaving his man wide open.

Dude is getting roasted in the comments there. lol When even ClutchFans is saying your biased homerism is going too far, you may have a problem.

 

He definitely needs to up his D but at this point in time Kobe doesn't play good D anymore so that's kind of a wash. It would be nice if he could get some post moves and cut down on turnovers though.

 

The article should have simply said: "Harden is the 2nd best SG behind Kobe. Kobe had a possibly career-ending injury he may not come back 100% from. Ergo, I believe Harden is the best SG in the NBA."

obv this guy didnt watch rockets games last yr...next thing you know he'll give credit to harden for the phoenix game winner.

 

Day to day, I would choose Harden over Kobe.

I would still choose Kobe over Harden, though, for a playoff series or game. Or I would have based on last year's performances. Because Kobe is a year older and is coming back from a devastating leg injury, that perspective might change, though.

This coming season could be the time when a clear separation between the two players occurs.

Kobe is coming near to the end. He could still be good for another few years, but the inevitable downturn is coming soon.

 

I don't see why not. They were very close last year and their careers are going in different directions. Kobe's 34 years old coming off an Achilles tear and Harden is 23 years old coming off his first year as a starter. Do we really think Kobe will be better than Harden next year?

 

D.Wade is still better then Harden right now. Why? Defense.

Seeing as Kobe just had a heavy injury and Wade is on the decline, it's fair to say that Harden's reign as top SG is drawing near, but an article like this at this point in time is just bait to rile people up and get some extra hits because of the fuss.
