The guy who knocked the fire out of Matt Schaub last season. What do yall think of this move? Personally, I like it. It would add more depth and we know he can hit. Just ask Shaub. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/07/28/texans-taking-a-look-at-joe-mays/
hey OP: thanks for this thread. I scan the Texans forum quickly once a day; I wouldn't have seen this buried in the training camp thread.
Agreed. This definitely needed to be separated in its own thread as do most siginings. Should give us at least some added depth. I wonder why they waited til now to address the position. Did they think some guys currently on the roster would suffice?
I think the catalyst was Sharpton's latest injury. He's actually been a pretty good linebacker when healthy, so they held out hope. But the fact that he managed to be injured before training camp was probably the last straw in terms of depending on him.
Schaub had one of the best games of his career against him and the Denver defense. Maybe having him on the roster will scare Schaub into playing well consistently LoL
Not to be a jerk after you saying something a jerk would say, but it's annoying when people want to be the first person to say "This is already blah blah blah..." Chill out bro. We are not paying for paper on this site. Sorry I didn't see this buried in another post of 80+ pages. We gone be alright bro.
Schaub should be happy, now he can't hurt him. It's a good signing for the Texans, he will be good depth.
