[ClutchFans] Podcast: Dwight Howard's a Rocket, is LaMarcus Aldridge next?

Although I'd rather have Kevin Love, LMA would be a great fit on the Rockets, but I just don't see how we have anything that would be attractive to the Blazers. They don't want/need Lin, and I'm not sure how much they want Asik.

I think LMA wants to leave Portland because Damian Lillard has been given all of the spotlight on that team and is their franchise player and many seem to forget about him.

If you have a lineup consisting of Harden, Parsons, Aldridge and Howard, you dont just waste it on a no-namer point guard.

Thats a borderline Dream team lineup and considering that a PG is the one that will orchestrate the entire show, you need someone that you can trust to make a lot of money.

Someone that your Dream Teamers will listen to and look downto.

You need...Matt Maloney.

everyone keeps talking about how parson's isn't going anywhere. once he gets paid, he'll be just as expendable outside of Harden and Howard. yeah, he was a big part in getting howard but don't think Morey won't flip him for LMA or Love if the opportunity arose.

 

I think by next season, we either end up with LMA or Kevin Love.

 

How old are you? How long have you been watching sports? You think there is any loyalty in this cut throat BUSINESS? Think again, If we were offered LMA for Asik,Parsons, best believe D.Morey would pull the trigger, And DH12 and Harden would be all for it.

You're wrong about that. Morey wouldn't even consider trading Parsons in an LMA deal, and he won't have to. Asik and some 1st rd picks+prospects should work. Not sure how the salaries would match though.

Trade checker shows that LMA for Asik works straight up, so Portland probably wants more picks and rookie contracts than Morey is willing to give up.

 

since Bucks want Pap can we make a 3 way trade with them to take lin also.

Houston Out: Asik + Lin + Donuts + Pap

Por In : Asik + Donuts + 2nd rounder
Por Out : LMA + Leonard

Bucks IN : Lin + Pap

not enough in for portland, and it makes no sense to send lin and pap out for a 2nd rounder and a tpe (basically you're saying we should send lin out for nothing, what? once you acquire aldridge you have zero salary flexibility, none, nadda, a tpe to try and fill the starting pg spot is .....), leonard is also a super scrub.

 

if u think about it bucks want someone from rockets and they r the team just someone to take Lin from us to make room.

and for por its better for them to have a great def C with potential young 7 footer PF than loosing LMA for nothing next season.

Rockets they get their 3rd star player and a back up C also.
