Can't shoot, no left hand, doesn't see the floor well, not very bright and makes unbelievably dumb decisions in crunch time with the ball in his hands. He way overestimates his offensive ability and seems to have no clue on gauging what's possible and what isn't. Reke is effective because most PGs just don't have the physicality to defend him.

I confess the above is based on watching him his first 2 seasons. Maybe some things have been corrected.

IMO, calling him a chucker is lazy. He doesn't take THAT many shots. The problem is when he makes up his mind he's going to shoot, everybody on offense, defense, on the bench and in the stands knows it. Supremely talented guys can get away with that. At some point a light bulb needs to go off inside Reke that tells him he isn't a top-level talent.

A strong, firm coach with a clear offensive system that emphasizes ball-movement and player movement without the ball would help. Bottom line: Don't give Reke the ball at the 3-point line with 10 seconds or less and ask him to create. Failure will ensure.

How many coach Calapari guys do they have down there now??
Tyreke is a baller. Sac has no direction and no leadership. A change of scenery may be just what the doctor ordered. I have been a fan since his Memphis days.

65% of his shots came inside the paint last year.

The problem is he's on a crappy team with no system whatsoever and he's the only player that can get to the basket consistently.

That leads to a lot of bad possessions that end up with the ball in his hands.

Now, he's definitely not perfect. He's a HORRIBLE mid-range shooter, and he's not a good 3-pt shooter (he did bring his % up quite a bit this season, though). He's not the guy you put the ball in his hands every possession and say "Make something happen".

If he goes to the right situation, he'll put up some good stats. I don't think the Pelicans are the right situation for him either, though.

There never was much of a chance of that. There might be a better chance now. The Pelicans wanted cap space, the Kings might trade him for assets.

I doubt the Kings would have even matched 4 years 32 million.

First overpay for EGO, now Evans.

    Holiday
    Gordon
    Evens
    Anderson
    Davis

That's a extremely talented line up, with flaws.

Davis, Evens and Gordon all are a little injury prone. Davis looks like the only one who's going to play good D and how will Gordon, Evens and Holiday back court workout are some concerns.

That is a lot of guards. Is Rivers the odd man out?

Greivis Vasquez and Eric Gordon are the real odd men out. Austin Rivers barely counts. I'm guessing the Pelicans feel confident about getting a big in exchange for Gordon.

So Sacramento essentially trades Evans for Vasquez?

Interesting. Good move for the Kings.
