People can say what they want about slim thug, but dude is a self made millionaire at the age of 30. Yeah, he's street, but I randomly read his book "How to Survive in a Recession" and its very informational about money. Its basically straight talk about finances similar to Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover book. He's just a young street guy talking to a young nba guy. The days of Howard trying to change the nba like tebow are gone. He's in the belly of the beast and have a different outlook on stardom.

I don't think hood rats were referenced at any point, but I'm an apologist of anyone taking heat for harmless, off-the-cuff jokes on Twitter.

It's rather ironic to be called a nerd for defending something that's supposedly too stupid to be funny. Pretty sound argument for where the ignorance is really coming from.

I'm pretty sure the hate comes from his music and not him being a self made millionaire at age 30.

Just googled some of his music, jesus this actually got released and bought? If this is the case, Houstonians have terrible taste in music.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Just like WTF? But more power to him -- I'm not exactly his target audience.

I don't understand why people are pissed at him. He's just trying to help recruit Dwight to the rockets

Are you talking about our response to his music? What's wrong with that? I don't really like the Beatles either. Meh. We're just talking! Slim Thug wouldn't care what I think -- I can guarantee that -- so why do you care? :)

I was really hoping to like some of his music, because I like this whole twitter stunt, but that's okay. It's all good. Definitely to each his own, and I'm going to put Andy Stott on the stereo again.

Morey getting all the props. Really this is all slim thugs doing. I was tempted to start an appreciation thread for him alone.
